**** The Official OnePlus 3 Thread ****

Just loaded the latest RR CM13 rom - wow the phone feels FAST now.... I was having wakelock issues in OOS so will be interesting to see what this is like battery wise :)

Ordered a OnePlus3 Gold/Sand for my wife about a week ago. Estimated delivery date is 1st September :/ That's a long wait...

The main problem is I think that they have been overwhelmed by the demand and are literally pushing them out just as fast as they can make them!

Some European countries are even worse off than us, as they have stopped deliveries altogether for about a month, which is of no consolation to those of you who are waiting to receive one, I know!

The only slight 'plus' point is that most customers do seem to have received theirs a few days earlier than they were originally told, but in my opinion they are well worth waiting for.

I ordered the Gold one Saturday, graphite one is a 4 week wait. Same delivery date as you too.
Hmm thanks for the heads up. I might start looking at something else then. The wife's phone is pretty much on its last legs and I need something kinda sharpish. It's a shame she thinks my 6P is too large as the OnePlus3 is just a tad smaller otherwise I'd buy one for her.

When I ordered my Gold one, it said it would take 2 weeks to arrive, but was posted next day and was here in about 5 days. So you never know, they may arrive sooner than listed.

So has anyone tried the Oxygen 3.5? currently waiting for it to sideload but surprised there is no news about this anywhere other than their forum

Its a community build so only beta with bugs :

Android Pay is not currently supported
Only English is currently supported in several OnePlus apps
Some performance issues
Some UI issues when using custom themes
System UI tuner is unstable (do not use); using the system UI tuner could cause serious issues that can only be resolved via factory reset
You will need to re-register your fingerprints if you have fingerprint authentication enabled

Android Pay didn't work for me with 3.2.4 so no loss there.

Seems great so far, no performance issues, widgets actually stay active now after closing them.

Auto brightness toggle added which is welcome, interface is cleaner with better animations, also the brightness slider no longer has those weird transitions when adjusting the slider with auto brightness enabled.

sRGB mode is now standard, I never had to re-register my fingerprints.

The system themes seem fine, not even sure where the UI Tuner is, I've read it's unstable so I won't be looking for it. August security patch included.

I'm keeping this firmware. :)

When I placed my order with them on Sunday it came up with an estimated dispatch date of 26th, it's still not been sent off yet so I imagine mine will come on the 1st Sept as estimated. Would be nice if it turned up early though!

Do any of you use the dual sim feature? If so does it work well?

I use the dual sim here in France and seems to work fine, one sim is french the other is UK Vodafone. Get good reception on both sims.

Well my wife's Gold OP3 arrived earlier and I've just finished setting it up with the apps etc. Got to sort her out with a nano sim this weekend though as her iPhone4 has an obviously larger sim. She's not home until tomorrow to play with it though!

The device is very nice indeed - feels a great deal faster than my 6P. It certainly zips along and a very nippy pace transitioning from screen to screen. I had been surprised by the massive size of the icons on the OP launcher until I realised the display was 1080p (I'd forgotten about that!) and not a 1440p jobby. The missus won't understand any of that anyway!

The build quality is superb for the price. Reminds me of my Oppo Find 5 that I have sat alongside the OP3. I purchased a 'Soft Gold' leather flip case too with it but it's more of a dull brown than gold sadly. I have the TGSP too from them but I've heard poor reviews of them, so until I do further research I won't open that pack. Basically the glass covers up a small amount of the phone's side bezels, otherwise it is perfect.

Edit: Anyone know how to get rid of that annoying 'Shelf' widget when I swipe to the left? I assume its part of the OP launcher?

Funnily enough mine arrived today too. Very impressive for the price.

I don't know about the Shelf widget, but reading up about it I think it's part of the OxygenOS and can't be moved. Hopefully someone else will know and tell :)

Yeah I think it is built in. Tempted to install Nova onto the thing just so I can reduce the icon size but I'll hold back for now.

The missus won't be back until the weekend now so there isn't much I can do with a sim-less device for now. I'll have a little play tonight and then lob it in the box I guess. At least it gives me time to read up on that TGSP that I'd also ordered.

Shamelessly ripped from https://recombu.com/mobile/article/oneplus-3-tips-tricks-how-to-customise-oxygen-os#

"And if you want to disable the Shelf, just long-press any free space on your desktops, tap 'customise' and then hit the Shelf toggle that pops up."

You sir are a star. It worked a treat once I realised that there's a 'save' button in the top right of the customisation screen. Since you're focusing at the bottom where the toggles are it's so easy to miss! Also made the icons smaller at the same time.
