**** The Official OnePlus 5 Thread ****

Right thanks for that i know this sounds dumb but people were buying a dash charge along with the phone so that left me with the impression they didn't.

The only reason why i am interested in this phone is because it supports wireless display.

Factory reset and update seems to have done the trick.
Am happy again lol

Glad to see that OnePlus are pushing out updates for the device.

Have you had a chance to play music through headphones yet? I've read that OP5 has 32bit playback as standard which is a bonus to have!

Still waiting on my cheap TPU case to arrive so I can't use the phone as my daily driver which is a shame.

Glad it's sorted.

I've had a brief listen through the headphones and aux on the car and can say so far so good. This phone also has APT-X on Bluetooth which the OP3/T was lacking so that's a plus.

Just noticed o2 are now selling the 64gb version on pay and go. Making me think about saving a few quid and getting that. 64 or 128 is not difference to me. Wondering if theres much difference between 6 and 8gb really.

Only you can answer that, do you need 64gb or 128gb simples, having said that I can pretty much guarantee that the 128gb will be the more desirable model come resale so maybe the £50 difference or so will be worth it?

I hate OnePlus for this, I what it but that price is so high for what it is.

The camera looks good, not flagship good, but then there's that same display from the OnePlus 3/3T.

I'm so conflicted with this phone. :(

EDIT: Guys, does this even feel like an upgrade for general use vs the OnePlus 3T?

I'm tempted by this phone and ditching my s7 edge, anyone else making the switch?
I did this.

I'm away and on mobile so will be brief but, I did post earlier in this thread my first impressions. Feel free to have a look back. :)

Basically I didn't like the Samsung software (stock Android fan) and the curved screen started to annoy me.

Only thing from the S7E I miss is wireless charging. (First world problems right?) Because convenience. However dash charging and battery life means that's less of an issue then I thought it would be.

I upgraded from the OP3 and liking it. But I don't think there's a massive noticeable difference in performance. One reason I wanted to upgrade was to get the 128GB model which i got from the early drop and have had it for a week now.

I'm not sure whether it's that big an upgrade from a 3T.

That's what I thought, I think I'll wait for the Pixel 2.

I don't really use much more than 32GB, it's nice too have the buffer in case I need it but 64GB is more than enough for me.

If they priced this at £350-400 I would have probably ordered one, but for £450-500 I just don't think I can do it.

What happened to the company that produced good value smartphones? this is a huge departure from what they're know for.

Not had a huge amount of time to properly use the phone yet and coming from Apple its taking some adjustment but initial thoughts are positive.

The phone is incredibly nice to look at and hold. Screen is sharp and colourful. OS is clean and snappy. Really no negatives here (YET).

Not sure whether to try one of these or go for an iPhone Plus.

My standard size iPhone 7 is great except for one major issue - battery life! I was down to 80% battery this morning by the time I got to work at 9am. It's always dead by the end of the day and I can't always rely on having access to a charger (being in meetings etc.)

I've been iPhone since my Nexus 5 died but I am tempted to try Android again so very interesting to hear the thoughts of people switching from iOS :)

I cannot compare to the 7 or 7 plus and its abit to early for me to comment on battery life. That said I took mine off charge at 6am, battery is now at 92% even after medium use.

OS and usability its night and day compared to IOS. Taking some getting used to but I already love Android more, its cleaner, quicker and really customisable. OS preference will vary massively between users but my comments are purely based on my experience.
