**** The Official OnePlus 6T Thread ****

Finally got home to my 6T this evening. Just about completed my setup process. Initial impressions are very good. Great display and great UI.
I really appreciate the fact you can fully disable all of the bundled OP software. I haven't decided if I want to use the native apps or Google's offering but it's very nice to know that the option is there, unlike someone else **cough**Samsung**cough**.
Speaker is excellent for a single firing unit, at full volume it's better than my 2XL.
I will add more info as I get accustomed to it. One question off the bat, is there a way to get the desktop to auto rotate or is it locked? It's my first OP device so not sure what the story is with it.

Let us all know what you think once you've had a play.
After 24 hours with it I can safely say I love this phone.

It's so fast and snappy. The OS is so much cleaner than what I had on my S7E. Screen is amazing. And battery? Had 3 hours screen on time today and I'm only on 70%. Even played poker for an hour on it which would normally rinse out my battery. Speaker while not the most amazing ever is definitely loud enough. No complaints with the camera although only taken a few indoor shots.

Very happy, would recommend it to everyone.

If you have Prime I'd say Amazon would be the way to go, that's what I did. Plus JL can't next day deliver to NI.
I just placed my order for the red silicone case through Amazon, £13.82 although they have no release date for it even though it's available on the OnePlus website. Thanks to the included case with the phone I'm in no hurry.
Still really enjoying the phone. Will hopefully get a good play with it over the weekend.

camera is not great :)

software or other reasons it doesn't get close to pixel 2 imo.

simply put, taking a "good" shot on OP takes 2-3 tries.. pixel is usually point and shot.

I have the oneplus 3 and love the OS.

I would get the 6t, I love the look of it with the teardrop notch... However I'm thinking that having no notification light is a deal breaker..

How are all you users of the 6t getting on with not having the notification light??

Is it a case of being a deal breaker to you too?? IE. Sending the phone back?

??

I haven't had/used a notification light since my Samsung S6 three or so years ago, I don't miss it at all. Admittedly that was somewhat supplemented by an Always On Display which the 6T also lacks however the native ambient display is very good for me.

Mm without a notification light and always on display how do you know if you've got a message?
I guess it's just a question of usage. For me, my phone is never too far away either at home or at work so when notifications come through the ambient screen lights up and I get the sound.
The lift to wake function is the best I've seen on a phone so that always helps too. In a dark room or at night the last thing I need is a flashing light. If I could only have one of the light or the AOD it would be AOD every time and I'm hoping (long shot) that OP might reinstate this feature. Of course it's a definite YMMV situation.

Definitely not a deal breaker, just takes a bit of getting used to. I either pick up the phone or double tap the screen.

30 hours since last charge.. 6 hours screen on time...battery at 30%. Amazing. Won't be sending anything back. :)
