Really? Is that some sort of Google/OnePlus combination thing? Portrait works fine for inanimate objects on my 2XL and works fine with the OP camera app on the 6T.

I'm hearing rumours OnePlus are going to release a high end premium 5g device early next year. Not the OnePlus 7 but a phone operating within a new line.
A OnePlus with QHD screen, wireless charging, ip rating and killer camera would be interesting. My only concern would be with support and timely software updates. The 5t which is a year old still hadn't had the p update which was released in August!

I'm only a newcomer to OnePlus with this 6T but I thought between OP and the Community Devs that updates were pretty rapid, is that not one of their main appeals?

No, because the phones are released every six months and the engineering team is small they soon forget older models. The pie update is coming but nobody knows when. Typical android issue though really, to me they are all slow to roll out updates.

Tbf, aside Pixels, how many devices released on Android 8 or earlier, have Pie already?

None, like I say that's typical android.
2018 and still no perfect android phone. I'm struggling to scratch the upgrade itch.
And there will never be one. Best to accept it now, I did so a while ago.

My Nokia 6.1 has just got the Pie update
Android One device though so good as Pixel really for updates.

The 3 and 3T are both getting pie, that's pretty good considering they're now over 2 years old 2 generations back, fairly regular updates are part of the appeal of OP for me.

Reckon the 6T is doing some sort of scene recognition with in the background in normal camera modes, excuse the dull subject but you can tell the difference between Auto mode with HDR off and Pro mode.

Mine seems to keep forgetting fingerprints. Anyone else getting anything like this?
When I first added a second print, only one showed in settings. I think I have some kind of bug. Might need to hard reset to see if it helps.
