*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

It looks more like someone has spilt milk on their PS4, there's no way a little bit of thermal paste or solder flux can cake a console like that... unless the slave labour workers in Asia are intentionally sabotaging them at the factory.

I can't believe the thermal paste could spread that far, even if it was caked in the stuff it's too evenly distributed. A blown capacitor maybe?

Edit: the guy who posted the PS4 pics says on NeoGaf he uses a vics humidifier for 8-10 hours a night, think we might have our culprit :D

Haha, that's a funny out come .

Whats the cheapest they do at JL, any cheaper in store than online? Not interested in many of the bundle packs, but thats all that seems available at the moment

The cheapest they do is Killzone, Just Dance (ha) and PS+ for £442.98. If you work it out it's no cheaper than anywhere else, but the 2 year guarantee on the console is what sold it for me. Plus the fact that they had it in stock on my birthday....

I bought the Killzone, NFS and PS+ bundle and will be picking it up in a few days.

Did the people that apparently sabotaged the PS4's in the factory say they mixed the thermal paste with something ?? I'm sure I read that somewhere although it's more than likely junk...

Weird how it's all spread over the PS4. On the xbox pictures it's just where the main heatsink and fan is. To me that would suggest leaking heat pipes.

Of course it could just be some weird environment in people's houses or humidifiers as mentioned.

So it seems like my touch button to eject isn't all there.. I stroke it down, I touch it, I hold it, no eject or the odd time it will... Looks like it's going back.

It's junk. I've worked in an electronics factory. That process is entirely automated.

No they were limited edition. Sony arnt planning on releasing them again anytime soon but are planning on releasing them again as there is a market for them. ( I asked one of the Sony director/Manager when I phoned the Sony Playstation helpline and thats what I got told anyway)

Anyone seen the trailer for Evil Within? A mate just put me on to it, horror game by the guy responsible for the original Resident Evil:

Doesn't look too bad. The enemies look as close to 'real' zombies as we'll probably get nowadays.
