totally, and with infamous second son it's good news for stock, sales and new games to play. starting to look forward to infamous second son. graphically it looks amazing and I take it the gameplay wil be more of the same which I'm ok with.

I never really played much of 1 or 2, but I really want to get this.

Is there anywhere I can get a brief rundown of the story so far?

The menus were certainly updated, whether or not you will like them is another thing. In fact the whole thing was overhauled from start to finish. Everything was substantially improved.

You can now use excess research points on the same plane, etc. But they have made it harder to research planes within the tree and increased research points for parts. So grinding has increased if your crap at the game but decreased if your a really good player as you can now unlock multiple parts at once within the lower tier very easily, as you move up the tiers it gets harder but that was always the case anyway.

The menus are actually very easy to use once you get used to them.

I would say it's definitely worth trying again because the game is constantly being improved.

They should be releasing PC cross game play soon as well as the tank update.

So it is forever evolving. I would have it installed on my system so that I get all the updates. In 12 months time it will be a completely different game with all the stuff that is constantly being added.

New planes, new features, new vehicle types. It's absolutely free to play as well. I'm shocked at how good it is for free. I have paid £85 for BF4 (with premium) and this game runs smoother and better updates and servers.

IMO Gaijin should make a FPS game they would totally destroy the competition as it stands.
 
I'm very tempted to get a PS4 now, loved infamous 1 & 2, plus metal gear solid ground zero. Are the pads still having issues with bits wearing out?

I don't think anyone really knows as lots of people say they have issues while a fair few others (like myself) have not had any issue at all with them since release :\

It was either a bad batch (and constant bad batches if people still get it?) or some other issue... People always seem to complain about the left stick first though from what I've read, which is usually pressed in to sprint, so the rubber maybe pushing against some sharp plastic around the edges?. I've always wondered if that is anything to do with it but I could be wrong and the fact it doesn't affect everyone :\ Maybe the way/angle etc they're pushing it. Who knows at this point still... I don't think Sony has commented on it still?
 
my pad took a couple of months before it suddenly just fell apart (the thumbstick rubber that is), it was absolutely fine then within a week it went from brand new to split open and bits coming off.

anyone recommend a screwdriver set for taking the screws out? preferable one with big handles the current ones i have have small handles and it's impossible to get any power into the screwing action and they give my fingers friction burns from slipping. they also will shred the screw so it must be the smallest size of phillips needed.

When do I run out of time to get that free zombie game?

Can I login on my PC and do something to ensure its linked to my account even though i dont physically turn on the PS4 and download it?

The console revolts me atm

Probably 5th April, like the voice said though buy it through the webstore.
 
Anyone know the best place to pick one up atm? Popped down to Argos earlier as it said in stock at my local... was sold out!! Checked internet at home and it indeed said sold out... literally just missed it! All the tescos around me don't have it either. Any good deals on anywhere, with no waiting lists?

It's £370 for PS4 + Ground Zeroes. Not an amazing deal but not terrible either, plus I imagine it should arrive friday?

ShopTo can be pretty good really, I've not had too many problems with them and when I have they sorted it out pretty quickly. Their prices seem a bit off recently though imo, but that's just a bit less by a couple of £ than buying them separately I think?

Considering they're dispatching MGS tomorrow (they sent an email out to people who pre-ordered it) they might even post that tomorrow (if ordered before 5pm tomorrow I think?) at the earliest for you to get it Thursday (will be sent via DPD, apparently TNT as well but I've only had them use DPD for big stuff). Latest being Friday me thinks, but don't quote me on that :p

edit: just guessing on the dispatch times etc above and assuming it's still in stock when you do order of course

Cool, most people online seem happy with them so I think I'll go through with the order. MGS was always going to be a 100% buy, despite the demo nature, so it seems decent enough. PS4s seriously aren't budging on price!

I'm so annoyed with myself though... the last few months I've forgotten to go onto the web store and 'purchase' my free PS4 games!! :mad::mad:
So I just have Resogun and Dead Nation, which the latter I have on PS3.

And yeh it says in stock, so I assume I won't be waiting.
