Thought the ambient light bar effects in TR were quite good, controller flickers yellow/red when you have a flaming torch equipped.

I loved that too, but it wish they played the audiologs only through the controller and not the controller and tv, that kinda annoyed me.

So you can dim it but not turn it off, therefore they were correct in what they said?

one of the tweets posted says the update is for turning it off not dimming it

either way i don't care, if it stops reflecting, i'm happy.

if i get additional battery life it's a bonus but sony says the LED has next to no effect on battery life a few minutes at best.

You can get the official wireless headset for just under £60 here

Do you use that?

i've posted a £60 wireless 7.1 surround sound headset in the official thread.

would poo all over the official sony one.

made by a company with a reputation of making products worth well over their asking price.

on another note my ghetto setup for £30 works quite well, my mixamp is now here and set up, charged the new battery i had to buy because one wasn't included, so i should have pretty epic SQ from now on.

rather than buying the belkin mic through your better off with the zalman mic on amazon for £7 and a splitter. sometimes the belkin mic just stops working randomly and you need to unplug it and plug it back in.

they also have a £3.50 set of IEM's on amazon which beat $50+ IEM's. I have bought them, for £3.50 why not eh?

their DJ headphones which originally retailed for around £20 have went up to £60 due to no stock being available in the UK so are no longer worth looking into as you can get Creative Aurvana Live 2 for that kind of money.

If you want a headset and an all in one solution, you won't find anything better for less than £150 brand new I imagine, so your easily saving £90 on this set.

I would get one before they sell out, and compare it to what you have tried in the past and if you don't like it send it back under DSR.

if you want to do some research into how good Monoprice are

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18588208

they have made epic budget products which beat many worth a lot more than their RRP.
