Not having much luck recently, my ASTRO A50's packed up yesterday so I got a full refund and then noticed my red DS4 rumble was barely working and had a horrible rattle noise, had to get that swapped out for a black one today at Tesco. Wonder what the third thing will be!

5 months after launch and I can't believe we still can't buy the official dock for charging the controllers anywhere!
There's a third party seller on Amazon with one in stock.

Regarding fan noise I can say Infamous doesn't make the fans any noisier than when I'm playing Killzone or BF4 which all push the system a fair bit.
It's at the bottom of a TV stand approx 6 inches off the floor with about 4 inches clearance on either side and the top.
I did have it in the top part of the TV stand but I moved it down to the bottom on the theory that the air is cooler nearer the floor.

For me, anything with a fan for cooling needs to be as far off the ground as practical. The lower it is, the more 'hoovering' will happen, no matter how clean the area.
I said the same, add another 100 hours and the left started to split.
Replaced both and would not want to do it again tbh, getting the triggers back was a right pain.

Got mine at launch there were loads of them. Shown in the top right hand corner below.
I've had to replace three controllers now, it is ****ing ridicules so I just bought some ps4 Orb thumb grips which seem to have solved the problem.
I was looking at getting some of the orb grips. How do they feel compared to the normal thumb sticks?

dock is pointless anyway is it not? I use my phone charger, much easier.

I love my dock, Put a dead one on and take a charged one off for long bf4 sessions. No wires everywhere like I had before.
I love using a dock for my gamepads as it stops me losing them....
Without a dock I just end up leaving them everywhere and then I forget where I put them..

well i leave it where i usually charge my phone, use the exact same lead and charger for both devices.
They're great and feel much better than the original analogue grips.

I never used a dock for my DS3 controllers and my cats always knocked my controllers off the tv stand plus the dock charges both of them at the same time off the mains so you don't have to leave the Ps4 on.
if i go standby they keep spinning as i said, full turn off will stop them though

The Orb covers are really good. You get 2 types in a pack. One type is similar in shape to the ds4 sticks but are far more grippy - they are the ones I use.
The other ones are dome shaped like the ds3 sticks but I can't get away with those

I got my ps4 infamous bundle on Friday. I love it. With my Ps3 and 360 I always felt as if I was going to break it if I pressed the guide buttons in game or tried a party chat (its hard to describe).
With the ps4 it truly is something else. I had a great 3 hour chat with a friend while playing infamous earlier and sharing videos and stuff with each other and the ps4 didn't even skip a beat.
The only two things I am disappointed with are to do with the controller. The first is the better life. I have used it for about 20 hours and had to recharge it 3 times and the second is not sonys fault but still annoying all the same. If I try to charge through my Panasonic ST60 USB port then sometimes when pressing a button on the controller it starts to control the TV such as turning the volume up or going to the TV home screen.
