*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Finally managed to borrow a copy of Uncharted 4. This series never fails to deliver. Played through on hard. Some tricky situations to fight through. Overall I loved this game.

try crushed, hard is easy :)

I've started Uncharted 3 and I hated the combat in the first 2 games. I wouldn't play those on crushed simply for that reason. But Uncharted 4 looks like it changes things up quite a bit, so I guess it's not that bad an idea. Unless I need to unlock it, I may go through it on Crushed first time.

I think you have to complete the game on any difficulty first, before Crushing becomes selectable.

I'm going to play through on Crushing soon. I'm half tempted to use the infinite ammo unlock but I might try without first.

Some sections of chapter 4 on Drake's Fortune was a tad murder and chapter 5 in the fortress water room on crushing. Somebody always got me with the shotgun. Brutal is nuts on Drakes Fortune. One hit and your screen is black and white, sometimes one shot and you're dead. Depends how fluky you dodge. It is worse each magazine you pick up you only get 2 - 3 bullets.

Then of course the army guy was hard on crushing for Uncharted 2. So were those bloody guardians. You pumped them full of lead and endless grenades and wouldn't die. What I was shocked was how easy the yeti monsters were than what I remember back in 2009.

Gamescom - 17th August - Probably not
Tokyo Game Show - 15th September - Maybe
Paris Games Week - 27th October - Most likely

My crystal ball is murky. Nobody knows except Sony.

I really hope you are right, I've been consoleless for a few months now and am growing to miss it. Sorely tempted to pick up another PS4 but seems silly in reality for the sake of another month or two.

Crushing isn't that difficult really, most enemies can either be stealth killed or bypassed completely, apart from the scripted parts.

Doesn't sound like Uncharted 1 or 2, so I assume this is UC4 you're talking about. In which case, hooray for gameplay improvements. As someone who loves stealth games (particularly optional stealth), the option to stealth through everything is much appreciated.

Lol, I was going to do something similar but it doesn't work that way. You have to complete the game without any mods on a difficulty first, before you can use mods like one-shot kills and infinite ammo. I tried using the slow-down time thingy on hard, but alas I was unable to for the aforementioned reason.

TLDR - finish on vanilla Crushing first and then you can use stuff like infinite ammo.

I bought it on Steam for £3 just to see if I'd like it or not. I do like it. But since then, I've put a moratorium on buying any new games because I'm saving up for the Neo. Game purchases will resume when I have that in my grasp.

Theres so many games I want from the digi sale so might give it a miss - seems just a bit too depressing (main reason I liked it!). Too many games, never the time to decide what to play, let alone play them...

ps3ud0

That is just embarrassing. I haven't bought Telltale game in ages (and barely got round to playing the last two I did), their formula is getting very old and they clearly don't have the technical expertise needed to actually get a game running well. They were given a free pass for it for too long by gaming journalists and reviews, nobody ever called them out for the almost game-breaking stutters and pauses last gen.

Yup, I actually like that sort of game but I could never understand why reviewers didn't slate them for the performance, it was almost game breaking at times yet awarded game of the year etc etc.

I tried it on my us account before it was released here but my 80mb Internet wasn't good enough.... Probably because the servers were so far away.
