I been thinking putting my pro up for sale this week ready for the Xbox one X but sometime I keep thinking cancelling the Xbox pre order and stick to the pro

I was in the same boat and decided to stick with the ps4 and cancel the xbox.
Its a great that Microsoft are pushing it but the play anywhere games make an xbox purchase less appealing if you have a PC about.

.............this is what im repeating over and over to myself anyway , so far its working

You crazy man if you do that;).

Best scenario is to have both, you will only end up wanting a pro again further down the road when some great exclusive games interest you.

Yep, but If I had to choose one it would be the PS4 as I prefer the games on it like Uncharted and anything by Naughty Dog, I also like the games by Quantic Dream.

Im getting the Scorpio just so I can play the exclusives as I don't own a PC, but looking likely I will get most multiplatform games on the X as well due to the performance gains. I just see it as having both I don't miss out on any exclusive game.
 
Both is definitely the way to go if you don't own a PC. My issue is whether to upgrade to the mid-term refresh on either console. My OG PS4 and XB1 still work fine, I don't own a 4K TV. Not sure if I need the upgrade.
 
if only the Ps4 Pro had a blu-ray 4k drive, that's the reasoning i'm telling myself to get a xbox1 x, i could have gone for the cheaper S model but what with having the Ps4 Pro i had to get the better hardware in the xbox1 x.
