It’s much easier for developers to create profiles for games for Pro rather than create PSVR specific titles.
The split with PS4/PS4 Pro was 80/20 with sales. I can’t imagine Sony getting anywhere near that with the PS5 Pro though.

I just don't see the need for a PS5 Pro. The PS5 is plenty powerful enough. Loads of people are still on the PS4.
Seems to me that it's aimed at people who have serious FOMO and need to buy the latest tech.

I probably would have got one for Christmas then moved my current PS5 to my son (currently has a standard PS4), but at that price (plus I'd need the disc drive), not a chance.

The price probably works out when you count in inflation compared to 2005.
