They didn't really mention that it's also apparently got a 2TB SSD (not that justifies much of the price increase), but at least it would have been *something*

I don't care about US sales tax that's their problem, I'm simply doing the calculations based on their dollar pricing and it's way off, sales tax or no sales tax.

The announcement was so bad they didn’t even tell you how much storage it came with they just hit you with the huge price.

Why didn’t they mention that it had a 2TB drive? Seems stupid to not even bring it up. They didn’t even try to justify the price point. Come on Sony…

yeah, day one for me, ordering a drive today to be sure its not sold out. Honestly can't wait. Looks like a cracking bit of kit. Will recoup £300 on my original PS5

Even with a 2TB at £700 it’s going to be a very hard sell!

That price instantly put me off as the jump from my PS5 isn’t enough

It's £24 more expensive here than the US, if disregarding tax, if my maths are not failing. So I'm not sure where you're getting 'way' off.

It will include a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller and a copy of Astro’s Playroom pre-installed in every PS5 Pro purchase. PS5 Pro is available as a disc-less console, with the option to purchase the currently available Disc Drive for PS5 separately.

PS5 Pro will launch on November 7, 2024 and will be available at participating retailers and directly from PlayStation at direct.playstation.com. Preorders will begin on September 26, 2024.
