There seems to be a bit of a fixation with GTA6. Personally I’m not interested in it myself. Horses for courses I guess but I hope the folks that are super excited about it aren’t let down.

But time has shown 30fps with bells and whistles is the way many power hungry games go. Hope I’m wrong but I don’t think I will be.

What do you mean? Even when the PS5 launched there was usually a choice between potato/60 and 'fidelity'/30

I guess that for it to look how it is supposed to look and run at a reasonable frame rate will be beyond the pro, maybe even the ps6. It just won’t do it justice. Cutting edge graphics at native 4k/60 still feels like it is out of reach.

It will have to be potato mode which will make it feel like a standard ps5 title and underwhelming. Or 30fps with some bells and whistles but janky frame rate and dynamic resolution / upscaling etc.

Im sure the game underneath will be great, mind, I’m just not convinced it will look / run as next gen as some may hope.

Buy a pc then I guess

I’m loving how potato mode has moved on from the DS to mainstream consoles. It’s absolute nonsense but I still like it.

I mean it's not nonsense. I remember playing Hogwarts on release on the PS5 and it was absolutely awful, lest us not forget ffvii remake and countless others.
The potato has just evolved but potato is still potato.

I think that 45? FPS mode was good as a compromise, but again I think only if you have a 120 HZ TV which I'd hope that anyone running a PS5P for sure should have otherwise what's the point.

Can’t see much difference with ps5 pro. Maybe my eyes are too old now haha. Demon Souls looks good but it looked good on ps5. Still an easy buy with discount, selling ps5 and things to come.

Are there any major titles 1st party titles (not re-re-re masters) upcoming? I'm a bit out the loop, don't like Spiderman or GOW but generally like majority of their other games.

Despite having the pro for a week, my most played game is BLOPS6 on gamepass streaming via a browser on my PC . I only paid €10 for 1 month, just to see what Zombies is like these days, and now I'm a bit hooked. I'm tempted to either pay for 3 more months or gamepass or but BLOPS6 on PS5 Pro. It will definitely look better than the 1080p streamed version I'm playing, but for Zombies it won't be as big a deal as other modes.

My only hesitation is that I know after a few months I will be bored of playing zombies and I never play the other modes.

Haven't played COD for quite a few years now, any idea if the digital version would drop in price for black Friday, based on past years? If not it's £70 to play zombies for a few months!

Not this year, or until after April 2025. Ghost of Yutei is probably next up, with Venom and Wolverine further down the line.

@alreet99 With the Pro although there are some games that benefit with enhanced GFX such as HZD and FF7 Rebirth they are few and fair between at the moment, the main benefit for me and some others is the higher frame rates which makes the games feel smoother, but this is subjective and really depends on the game you play and what you're used to.

Demon Souls looks stunning on the pro, plus its free via Playstation Plus.

Just waiting on the Silent Hill 2 patch to drop and hopefully Elden Ring too ;)

Played DS remaster on release yeah it was great, wouldn't mind another run actually.
Elden Ring I played too and fully completed, actually doing a new run on my PC before I get the DLC, wish it had cross save!
Got my eye on SH2 as well but again, will get on PC.

Bit of a problem selling my og ps5, I'm really enjoying the pro in the living room but my girls also like to play games in the office.
Looks like now I'm going to have both.
