Ok sorry I'm back already, do they not sell the original any more, need to make sure I'm buying the slim model so it fits in my cabinet but no where seems to state if it's slim or not so assume the original is eol?

I found a bundle for £474, PS5, two controllers and FC25, does that sound ok or should I look around some more?

I've not seen the original non-slim anywhere for quite a while. Normally in a description it will say in brackets: model group slim.
And if the picture is representative of the product, a slim has a black line going through the white cases on the side, whereas the original did not have this.

I'm sure there's a table somewhere as well with the CFI number matched to what one it was but CBA to look for it.

It will likely never leave the house :o

I keep leaning toward the deck for it's versatility but noise and performance is putting me off and I start thinking PS5 again but by the time I've sold the Xbox prices will go back up

It doesn't help that I'm really indecisive!

I can't see me buying a Deck unless they can make it significantly smaller and lighter. I have an Odin 2 android based handheld and I find that big and bulky enough and is half the weight of the Deck...

Nice, I wasn't bothered about the Portal but now it has cloud streaming I'm a quite tempted to get hold of one.

Have to admit I'm very excited to play some of the single player exclusives I've never played for the first time, still not sure if it's best to pick them up one by one on disc or just subscribe, also need headphones for the portal and not what to get

If you're completely new to PS, Extra is worth it overall. You can play many of the major first-party titles and there are other games to choose from, including some great PS4 games.

You can buy a year of Extra at 25% off now, top up your wallet with cards to save some more over that.

Thanks, is that 25% off a black Friday thing or is it a general discount for doing it yearly over monthly? If the former I'm spent up for now

It's BF unfortunately but other deals usually come up from time to time so keep an eye on. Or just grab used physical copies of everything you want to play at your own leisure, having a disc drive has its benefits:P

Im yet to try out PSVR full stop, but i wont be changing my ps5(non slim) for a pro any time soon, for VR or normal gaming and i certainly wont be buying an 8k screen any time soon. There are only so many games out that support 120hz or at least a few games i do play on my 4k 120hz tv support it, but mostly they all do 60. FC24 was a game i thought would support it, but never went above 60.

I wont get a ps5 slim as it offers nothing useful to justify it.

If you got the money and want to flex the the pro is worthwhile, but from what i have seen, the increased performance doesnt offer enough to warrant its price tag. Hell some comparison screenshots only show the pro improving reflection which is hardly anything.
