What's the go to charging station? Still the official one? Need to pick up two.

i also find myself having a little more game time these days and the PS5 is just a joy to use compared to the PS4.

Hopefully the next upgrade will get us to 60FPS/4k/Ray tracing on tripple A's

Been using the official one since launch and it's been great for me - chargers the controllers in a decent time.

I assume you mean the PS6?

Yup

But hopefully if there's a pro PS5 it woupd be nice to play Spiderman highest gfx setting at 60FPS.
I think ps5 pro is like 2 years off tbh. They is talk of PS5 slim this year again I think that will be next year, last few weeks ps5 has only really been in stock on shelves

There is still zero talk of a PS5 Pro from anybody except the usual clickbait links - still the overall consensus being it just isn't needed.

There is also no real indication that the model refresh this year is going to be "slim". The main reason for it is detachable optical drive, which means every single PS5 (Disc or Digital) can now be made on the same production line, which is massive as every unit that leaves the production line can be a digital or disc version. But even those that are "close to that rumour" are not saying it's a slim revision.

Not so much a case of not needed ( or wanted ), it's that hardware tech hasn't advanced enough to really push the performance envelope ... at an affordable price. And this is unlikely to change in the next 2-3 years given the world economy, cost of silicon wafers etc. I think there is more chance of a PS5 "slim", but in these difficult financial times will consumers be persuaded to splash cash on something that is purely about aesthetics ?

Seen all the talk about the PS5 slim won't have any hardware changes and will be a detachable disc drive. I do think the PS5 Pro is way off though

PS4 and PS4 Pro release were 3 years apart, PS5 will be coming up to 3 years old in November, to be honest I don't think they will bother with a Pro version, might as well just look to the future and a PS6. PS4 and Xbox One needed the pro/X versions as they were quite weak to start or at least there was a ground to make them, PS5 and Series X are very powerful consoles, I see no reason for pro versions and I don't think there is a demand for them either.

Especially as Microsoft treat the Series X as an unwanted love child. You never see any marketing for it, just the Series S.
And considering a few things that have popped up recently, the Series S is causing issues for Xbox/Microsoft.

Digital Foundry's latest video touched on it and the problems that the Series S is causing by requiring feature parity for games from Microsoft both of the Series consoles - and in some instances the Series S just isn't powerful enough to keep up.

It seems my PS5 has developed a problem :(
I'm getting a thin vertical line about 0.5cm in thickness in the middle of the screen going form the top to bottom. It just appeared out of nowhere, I'm going to try swapping out the HDMI cable but I don't think the cable would just stop working and the rest of the picture is unaffected.
Has anybody got their PS5 repaired under warranty and what is the process like, am I in for a painful experience?
