^ PMSL!!

I went to the pics tonight and saw a huge floor to ceiling poster for this... any ideas where I could buy one?

I asked the cinema manager but I was informed that they could not sell them :(
 
Tickets now on sale at Birmingham big screen, whoop whoop. Got about 8 people coming along so far for the midnight screening, never seen people so hyped about a movie ever!

I'd like one of the posters to frame and put up in my man cave too.

Agreed. I hope that "clip" isn't contiguously taken from the movie. The editing was horrific if so. It felt more like a trailer focused purely on the landing of the ship...
 
I thought the ship landing scene looked horribly polished (in a bad way), it reminded me of avatar. You want a film where the inside of the spaceship looks awesome? Check out the start of event horizon, the deck of the Lewis and Clarke. It looks so much more believable than overdone and ever present CGI, similar to the sets in the original alien.

I didn't think it was that bad, least it isn't as bad as the normandy. What pleases me and admire is the sets are actually real and not green screened like if it were an american film. The space jockey shot in the first alien is probably my favourite shot of all time. That whole set just for one shot, amazing really and they rebuilt the same set for this one:)
 
So close to seeing this. Couldn't reserve seats with Odeon though, so going to have to get there super early. Been ages since I saw a 3D film...since avatar I think :)
 
Tickets booked for the midnight showing at New Street Odeon in Birmingham, got 6 other friends coming along with me and we can't wait.

Remember that video of the kid crying because Modern Warfare 2 was a letdown, that'll be me if this movie sucks!
 
OK, so looks like dude gets this snake thing in his gob and begins mutating over the course of the film into a space jockey. Towards the end he climbs into the pilot seat/suit of the derelict and takes off for some nefarious purpose.

To stop him, Idris Elba flies the Prometheus into the derelict, causing it to crash on LV426. Final moments have the mutant jockey smash his way out of the pilot chair (hence the large hole in it that we see in Alien) and keel over, releasing a gaggle of little serpenty things which set up home -- and we assume evolve into the xenomorph we all know and love.

Have you heard the audio recording they released that had to be deciphered. It sounds as though he bites the snake, it explodes, acid all over the place and that's the shot of the masks glass melting inwards on someones face.

Scott and Lindelof have both confirmed this isn't the same planet and the same ship we see in Alien.

Also i'm convinced that the infection and subsequent transformation to the engineer comes from Shaw's lover with this eye worm as it appears they have sex shortly afterwards and there are shots of Shaw having something aborted.

For anyone who isn't aware, G.D.Toro stopped production on his movie At The Mouth Of Madness because there were so many paralels that people would claim he was ripping off Prometheus.
