Only problem is that trailer revealed faaaaar too much and I feel I can probably hazard a good guess as to what is going to happen and why now
Was thinking the same...something along the lines of...find old symbols, find planet location, think they've found something awesome, realise they've messed up really bad, aliens trace locations of earth, send ship out to destroy earth, prometheus follows, stops it, ship crashes on lv426...Alien!!!
In the meantime i'm guessing Noomi Rapace gets impregnated by an Alien judging from a few shots/screams.
Oh yeah, did anyone notice the very Alien/Queen looking bio-mechanoid thingy on the wall about 1:36
I must stop watching trailers!
EDIT: Having watched it again, there is a shot of Prometheus hitting the Alien ship, so maybe the planet itself is LV-426 before something really bad happens.

Many thanks, when I did the original thread it had no title, been bugging me for ages since the title was announced, i'm a bit OCD like that
I have to stop re-watching that trailer, must be about 5/6 times i've watched it now, i have never been so excited about a movie in my life.

If only we could go back and wipe Alien3, 4, v Preditor, etc, from the pages of history
Opening a can of worms here but I really enjoyed Alien 3, a worthy end to the trilogy in my opinion.
Watched the Alien 3 extended/directors/assembly cut again this weekend and it flows so much better and is a far more enjoyable watch.
I'd bet real money that the Alien 3 haters would change their minds if they watched the other cut.

Just read the guardian article, this bit stood out to me...
There is a lot of arguing back on forth over at AVPGalaxy about whether it's LV 426 and the same ship. A lot of members over there have gone to a lot of trouble to point out the differences between the ship we see in Alien and the ship we see in Prometheus.
This latest quote leads me to believe is is in fact a different ship that is simply similar in design.
