:)

Is that long enough, or should I leave it again overnight tonight?

Well if it satisfies you, then I'd say it was fine :) I wish I had screenshotted mine before I went to bed (been running for about 5 hours), left it overnight to be welcomed by a login screen this morning. "Darn it, must've rebooted", login to find a nice message from Windows notifying of updates installed... doh! I might run it again overnight tonight, at the moment though its running at 3.6Ghz. Need more volts to go higher and I just can't keep the PWM temps down... Also found that the latest cpuz beta is hanging my machine, which didn't make testing any easier!!!!

For those of you with the IP35 Pro, any chance of posting the settings you are using? Getting 0.1v drop on vcore on this board, which seems quite common...

3.6 gave up on me after 2 hours, needs more vcore. :(

Currently going through the clocks doing 6 hour stress tests, 3ghz done, 3.4 currently at it. Will either try again for 3.6 at a higher vcore or wait till my new silent w/c parts arrive. :)

I posted another thread actaully, slightly worried that I had 6'c difference between Cores 1,2 and Cores 3,4 but it seems to be the norm.

Seems like my Noctua is slightly slanted down. I am perplexed as to why this is as all the screws are on tight. I can only assume the weight of the HS and the 2 fans is using the leway of the springs to weigh it down. I will try tightening the top screw and see if that has an effect.

Only clocked at 3ghz, but it runs about 32C idle and 50ish when tortured. (G0)

I tried 3.2ghz without upping the volts and it BSODed on torture (pretty quickly). It was still nice and cool, so i'm sure it was just a volt issue - does this sound reasonable. Have others hit a stock-volt wall at around this mark?

:o Cooling on that?

Yeah sorry about that ;)

I don't seem to be having too much luck tbh, just to be the exception to the rule I have a G0 that doesn't seem to want to clock, just my luck

Interesting as I'm seeing that as well.

I think I might be in the same boat but how do you return for a refund, it works just doesn't clock?

If its within the 30 days that you have bought it m8, just phone ocuk and explain that there could be something wrong with your board and you have to send this cpu back for a refund, and they will issue with a rma number via email.

i really did like this cpu though but i need a garanteed clocker, my cpu seemed to pass prime but it would always fail super pi 1meg and 2meg tests.

yeah just phone em just say there is nothing wrong with the cpu but you just dont want it anymore, kind of like a impulse buy and wish for a refund.....

mine is currently on 3.0@ 1.3v Anything over and it seems to need much more volts and i think that is causing a heat problem so eventually crashes prime95.

I am going to take it all apart and maybe lap the processor.

also, my therm 120 ultra extreme, even though fitted as per instructions and the screws have hit their max, you can still twist the heat sink quite easily. Is that normal?

if those screws are tightened untill the point of wont go any further then no you shouldnt be able to twist the heatsink or move it.

thanks virus but it does. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong? any point in trying the AM2 screws provided instead? Anyone with an Ultra extreme can confirm that id def does not happen to them?

If i want to overclock one of these GO chips to 3.2-3.4 ish will i need a new board / ram ? specs in sig, and currently have a zalman heatsink

I believe I read somewhere, if you put a 1p piece under the clamp (X) then this tightens it up. I think it was over at extreme forums.

ok, just read the Anandech review and they mention that same problem so at least i know its not something I have done wrong.

Servo, ill see if i can figure out how to do that and will give it a go. Thanks.

Ok guys,

I've ordered a G0 Q6600 , IP-35 Pro, 4gb OCZ pc6400 in 4 sticks and a Zalman 9700 cooler as that is all that will fit my case.

Hoping for some serious OC action on monday w00t!

Use a washer!

Just so i get this right, do you guys mean placing the washer between the metal plate and the top of the block? Basically raising the whole thing enabling me to tighten the screws a bit more before reaching the end?

Also, how much of a difference to temps would it make if i added another 120mm fan to the ultra? Is there a good way of doing that considering they only provided one set of braces?
