Hehe well its a compromise, I've was trying to get people doing 24 hour primes stability tests but they wasn't having it so I compromised and pushed for 12 hours but the buggers come up with all sorts of excuses why they cant prime that long so in the end it 'shrunk' to just 8 hours!this might sound like a random question, but I always test stability by priming for 8 hours, but why is 8 the magic number in overclocking circles?
Its still a good amount of time and I can see a few advantages to this
- 8 x 3 = 24 hours
- An eight hour prime session can run when u are asleep
- An eight hour prime session can run while you are at work
