@Junglist new wheels and 28mm Michelin power road tyres. Went for a quick 30km blast on it earlier today and took it quite easy and still matched my last time.

Its free real estate :p

That's outrageous that you'd tempt me like that haha...

I'm getting work to hurry up and raise the limit for the cycle-to-work so that I can order the wheels and just pay both off for the next few months. Dd you notice a difference from your older wheels then?

I think there was quite a big difference to ride feel and acceleration. I'm sure some of that was the 28mm tyres vs 25mm previously but both were tubeless and run at the suggested pressures by the sram calculator. Just all around a really nice upgrade. The wheels I was coming for were budget for sure so I guess there was quite a bit of room for improvement.

Just need to stop myself from upgrading the drivetrain now. Curse this hobby!

I'm literally on the phone to cyclescheme now to try and pay it off sooner so i can get the wheels ordered. Though it looks like finding the tyres I want will be the real challenge!

What are you after?

Annoyingly I have to get my works finance team to sort out a final payment then once i do that I can sort out my cyclescheme certificate and then start an order for a new one. So looking like I'll get the ball on this rolling for next month.

Will be going for the 404FC's and ideally I want the same tyres I have now but tubeless. So the Continental GP5000s with the tan wall in 28c

They have the non-tan wall ones in stock at winstanleys currently. I ordered a set because I thought the michelin tyres I ordered from somewhere else were out of stock as they sent me an email to that effect but they arrived at the same time as the contis.

I'll be returning them in the next few days though because the michelins were about £80 for the pair instead of £130 for the contis. Unfortunately tyres are hard to get hold of at the moment and most places are selling at very close to RRP.

Love seeing the images in here and thought I’d contribute my own.

Bought this beauty a few months ago and been getting out as often as I can, especially now it‘s lighter before and after work!

Absolutely amazing ride. Weather was perfect at around 18 degrees, sun was shining and the countryside was looking utterly stunning for 95% of the ride which was almost entirely on quiet country lanes. This is what its all about!

My partners first outdoor bike ride since last August and since giving birth 10 weeks ago. Was also her first time riding this (or rather any) road bike in the real world as she has done a bit of Zwift on it. The clipless pedals were a first though! A day of firsts!

Just a nice gentle ride to Bath and back along the cycle track just getting into the swing of things

Nice! Was that last night? I went out for a quick spin as well and it was still warm at half 8. Made me realise I need to get some better glasses for evening rides as the sun is low but the light isn't super bright.

The light at that time in the evening can be so beautiful that its nice just to pootle sometimes.

Yeah that was last evening on our way back, probably about 7ish at that point. Perfect weather other than all the flies!

@fez @Junglist

You two have ruined me. I’m currently eyeing up tan sidewall tyres. Thinking a bit of colour would look great on the new bike!
Yeah especially as you and I have black bikes. The tan tyres really look nice.

Just a shame they're impossible to get in 28c at the moment. Trying to find some before I get my new wheels
