**** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note 20/Ultra Thread ****

Just picked up a Snapdragon Note 20 ultra , purchased it online and it turned up today after 6 days, brand new from Hong Kong for £1055 for the 256gb version.

So far very impressed, had the S20+ exynos and was very unimpressed, bad battery and overheating.

Decided if I was getting one of these it would have to be Snapdragon, first day and 5 hours SOT with 28% battery left, hopefully should improve a little when optimised.

Will keep people updated how I get on

What sort of import fees did you pay?

I'd like to upgrade from my Note 9, certainly wont be going Exynos!

Hi, import fees were included in the price at £1055, got it from Wondamobile, really checked out the reviews before ordering. 7 days from order to received, highly recommended

I have heard nothing but good things about this company lately and this is a very realistic opportunity to get the better Chipset and I will be looking at this next time if there is another Note.
It will be interesting to see what this new Exynos chip is like as the benchmarks are looking very promising.

I've had a quick look, and the Korean snapdragon version (256Gb) is £879. Is this the one you bought? Seems a few people have commented about a handful of Korean apps that cant be disabled

Mines a Hong Kong model, advantage is it also comes with a UK power supply in a sealed box, I believe they use the same power sockets.

Be careful with the cheaper prices, they exclude the tax , the people I mentioned include taxes hence why it's slightly more expensive.

Still , over £100 cheaper then the UK with a superior chipset.

Be very interesting to hear how it goes with the SD version.

Cheers

Hi buddy.

What network are you on and can you confirm whether VoLTE works please?

Apparently it does but I'm not in a 5g area for 3, I am also on 3 but in a 4G enabled area and it works fine. All 5g bands are supported on the HK version

Wondamobile where I purchased this from have a huge Q&A section, the only limitations mentioned our Samsung Pay and VoLTe won't work.

Maybe check if you are unsure, never used Samsung Pay personally.

Notice zero difference compared to my UK note 9, 10 and S20+ , all my standard apps work and no weird usability issues.

Setup was identical, simply choose English UK and all was good after that

Not a problem specific to the Note itself but more of a Samsung Pay / Curve Problem.

I am trying to setup and get a Samsung Pay by Curve card but I can't get past the setup, it sticks on mobile number telling me my number is invalid! Anybody had this issue before? I have contacted Curve but thought I would ask here in case anyone had seen it.

What? Of course you can... Samsung Pay and Curve have a partnership together with Samsungs own Curve card.

I'll see if I can find where I read it, It was right at the start of the two merging. Maybe it's now possible.

Edit, I was referring to samsung pay card.

Please note that the Samsung Pay Card is available to all UK Samsung Pay customers provided you don't already have a Curve account.

my bad

Actually this helps... I wonder if I have a dormant Curve account I set up previously, if so I will delete and re-open with samsung! On to checking.
