I'll likely use the Samsung trade-in to knock £300 off the price by sending in my slightly chipped S8+

Samsung opens Galaxy Note 9 reservations, confirms August 24 release date
Samsung is now taking reservations for the Galaxy Note 9. Reservations are different from pre-orders, the company is basically allowing interested customers to sign up in order to get notified when its next flagship smartphone becomes available for pre-order.
It has put up a page on its US website where customers can go and provide their details to be notified when more details become available. It has also confirmed the rumored August 24 release date for the Galaxy Note 9.

It looks good - I've had a soft spot for the Note range since I had a Note 4.
I'm flip flopping between the Pixel 3 and the Note 9/Note 8 at the moment, Pixel would be my preference but I like the flexibility of having an SD Card.
I do wish they'd do the Coral Blue phones with the gold trim though, always thought it was a really nice look.

Not sure about his, was waiting for it and hanging onto my S7 in the hope this would be better, but looks like it still hasn't got the fingerprint sensor in the screen which was really what I was waiting for. If the S10/S10+ comes with the S-Pen though, that would make me buy. For now I think the S7 will do, I use my tablet for everything that needs / is better with a bigger screen anyway. Would I be right to wait or is now the time to change?

I've just won an invite to a Samsung experience event in London this Saturday. They only invited 300 people to this and the time allocation for my hands on with everything is 11AM to 12PM. It's a long way to go for just an hour to see the Note 9 and other new stuff and potentially clashes with some other stuff I have on.

Yeah that's the thing. If the Note 9 would have been there to buy, or better yet order with a discount for being there maybe so. But an hour just to what appears to be play around with the devices I'm not so sure. I'd have to take a large chunk of my day out the picture to get there and back only for an hour of hands on!
Tbh. We already know the specs, it's just a refreshed Note 8. Now if it was the S10 launch that woukd be a different matter with a new design and in screen fps etc.
