Anybody had a issue where you are connected to your mobile network, the screen is off for a period of time then upon waking up the phone and going to use your data, you have no connection?

Quick toggle to enable airplane mode and then disable fixes it but its mighty annoying.

Seems to have happened since the most recent Feb 2019 update.

Check network settings and power mode to ensure the phone isn't restricting data usage or ditching the data connections to save power.

Have wiped cache so will see if that helps. Next step will be reset network settings.

Perhaps I have not got away with my fubar screen protector application. My S-Pen won't come out of its housing and I wonder if it's some stray glue. The pen did smell of it but wiped it off repeatedly and had no issues taking it out and putting it back in until today (around a week after).

Edit - got it out. It was the clicking mechanism, a little jammed from the glue. As it's waterproof, reckon I can give the pen an ethanol bath quickly? Alcohol wipes seemed to cut through that glue quite easily.

The Note 10 is going to have to knock it out of the park to make me upgrade. It's annoying they have increased the size of the flagship model yet again, though at least there is some mid-tier version with a similar screen size to the N9.

Guessing the cameras and the screen fingerprint scanner will be some of the biggest features along with the hole punch, unless they miraculously manage to put the selfie camera under the screen but don't think that tech is available to anyone yet. 5G too of course but with UK service availability, notsomething I'm excited about.

Ultra wide camera is something that would definitely be nice, seems to have become a standard after Note 9 release.

New Galaxy Note 9 update brings camera improvements and more
Samsung is pushing out a second Galaxy Note 9 update with the April 2019 security patch in Germany. There are a couple of new features that this update brings to the device — the Note 9 finally has the option to set a schedule for Night mode, and it is also getting the ability to switch between a narrow and wider field of view when taking selfies.

The field of view on the selfie camera is now set at 68 degrees by default and can be changed to the full 80-degree field of view with a tap on the toggle switch that resides above the shutter button. This is something Samsung introduced on the Galaxy S10 lineup and then later brought to the Galaxy S9 with a software update in March. It has now come to the Note 9, and it’s possible the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 will also get the field of view switch at some point.

Anyone's Note 9 suffering from a bout of Samsung lag. Some of my animations have become really choppy and are easily replicated.

Well, the April 2019 update is now available for me. 481MB.

Beat me to it lol
