Please explain how 12 months is great when a 12 month and 24 month contract cost the same amount .

Having explained in my post that a I went for the equivalent o2 deal and that o2 don't lock their phones it was reasonable to point out that Voda is a nice simple 12 month deal and would probably have the better signal, for a poxy fiver a week more, horses for courses and remember that we all have different concerns.

If a person went for a Voda 12 m deal every year the extra bnib phones to sell every other year would knock off about £200 pounds a year or roughly £16 off every months bill, so about parity for locked phones with a better signal, local issues notwithstanding.

So I got sick of waiting for ota 4.1.2 and flashed via odin last night, so far I cant say its been 100%, just little things, a couple of crashes and daft things like trying to add an app to a folder when dragging app over the folder moves the folder away meaning its a bit like a game of cat and mouse lol......., anyone else done the same on a BTU handset?

According to Better Battery Stats, No Data Connection and No or Unknown Signal is a massive drain on my battery, even though I have full signal all day where I am?

Can anyone tell me what this is, is it normal?

Decisions....

Vodafone - 12 month, unlimited texts, unlimited minutes, 1gb data £47 a month, £59.99 up front - Total £623.99

O2 - 24 month, unlimited texts, unlimited minutes, 1gb data, £26 a month free phone - Total £624

Can you put a link up for the 02 deal please, i am very tempted.

Just a note (hehe) on the Nilkin case, still going strong and still impressed with the quality feel of it, I think I actually prefer it to the Quicksand case material now.

I've found Note2Core better than both of them. Redpill was terrible for me for battery. The kernel process was just munching through it when idle.

That was by far the worst for me, I wonder why we have such different results. What tests have you done?

No link I'm afraid. I went in to a phones4u store, and they called up the web match team or something. They called me and made me the offer. Could try calling them direct?

Oh it was an upgrade also, so they said the phone should've been £199 up front, but as it was an upgrade they could waive that

Trying to decide whether to get a note 2 or wait for the Xperia Z.... so.. tell me... why do you love your note 2?

RedPill did drain my battery slightly I will admit, a lot more than stock that's for sure. I just put WickedRom on it last night and it's VERY nice, I am glad to be back on stock now that I've got all my features back over CM10. The battery on this is *way* better than stock. Leaving it idle overnight took about 3% on stock it would be more like 20%.

S-Pen, battery, AMOLED.

If I was buying new now though I'd consider the Z although i'd want to see the screen quality in person first. AMOLED just looks much nicer for media compared to anything else and on a 5.5" sized display it's great

RedPll had an issue for me the other day, transferring large amounts of data over USB to PC and it would randomly stop and Windows would complain about a connection error. the phone would then not wake up!

Back to stock kernel and all is fine transferring.

Anyone able to help on this:
I use the stock email program. I have my gmail & hotmail accounts hooked up. But i only get a 'new email' notification for hotmail emails.
With gmail, i have to manually press the reload button to receive any mails. i have checked the sync settings, and are identical for both
i tried deleting both accounts, and setting up from scratch, but no change.
Any ideas?

Deal done. Galaxy Note 2 in grey, 24 months, unlimited texts, unlimited minutes, 1gb data, £26 a month, no upfront phone cost, and a free £20 voucher for the play store.

Awesome!

Check scheduled sync as it may not sync within those hours you have set it to.
I've got 3 gmail accounts and 1 hotmail accounts they sync just fine automatically.
EDIT: you have to do this for all of your email accounts within the app.
