There are wallet flip cases but they add bulk.

Samsung official one appears to be the best really/ Nilkin do some too a bit cheaper, they are fine quality.

How do you get the sim out of this phone? It seems to be properly wedged in position and I can't get it out. The is some blue "film" over the sim card holder. Do I need to peel that off or dies it serve some function.
 
Push it in and it should pop out iirc (haven't taken my SIM out since I put it in :p), it clicks in the same way a micro SD card would.

When my Step-Dad got his GS3 he thought he had a broken SIM, he got a replacement and thought that was broke too. About a week after he got the replacement I had a look and just clicked it in properly and it worked fine :D.
 
ordered my note 2 and it should arrive tommorow.

Also ordered a samsung flip cover and car mount for it.

Looking forward to getting rid of this crappy xperia s now.

hmmm, mine doesnt seem to push in like that, i remember the first time it did indeed seem to click into place but I took it out for some reason and noticed when I replaced it it didnt click into place, its never caused any problem however
 
Which car mount is everyone going for? I need one that locks onto an air vent as the windscreen on my Galaxy is approximately 14 light years away from the driver's seat!
 
Has anyone had the orientation of the phone lock to landscape, only reverting to normal after a reboot?

Turning off then on again auto rotation makes no difference.

On latest Wanam.
 
Yeah, that's what I figured, will have to keep an eye on it :(.

At first I thought it may have been from watching flash videos full screen, since I do that quite a lot at work and no matter which orientation you have the phone it goes landscape, so thought it might have been a bug from that. But I can't find any way to reproduce the problem.

It's only happened twice, and only in the last 3 days or something (hasn't happened today), so may just be a bug with something that I didn't realise (ie forgot :p) I used.

Yeah, they're pants. I really don't know how any of you like the official flip cover! Not only does it not stick down in any meaningful way to the front of the device, but the hinge sits nearly flush with the very back of the phone, meaning you can't hold it properly with the cover to the side. Folding the cover all the way round to the back not only makes it uncomfortable with nice sharp edges replacing all the rounded comfortable ones of the normal phone, but hold it like that for too long and it's even more reluctant to sit flush with the face when you fold it back round!!

The whole thing has been designed to look good in product photos, it's rubbish.
