*** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note II Thread ***

The Adreno 225 is currently the second the most powerful mobile GPU behind the SGX543mp4 and probably the most efficient too. How is that a let down?
Anyway, yes this HTC device uses a Adreno 320 powering a 1080p display. (Hopefully that 5" LG one :p)

Adreno 225 is a match for the Mali 400 in the SII, but is nowhere near the higher clocked one in the SIII. Adreno 320 should bring Qualcomm into line with the GPU in the SIII.

The adreno 225 is better than the mali 400 by a good chunk.

And here is Sarge's favourite image now :p

A 5.5" flexiable OLED would be brilliant! And ~350ppi would mean something like 1680*1050? Sweeeet!

Technically it's the other way round...
Adreno 225 uses a fully programmable unified shader architecture with DX9.3 support, Samsung won't have that until Exynos 5.
Adreno is finally making good on its ATi heritage!

...by a good chunk.

Hehe, I wouldn't say a good chunk ...but show Mali 400 a bit of geometry and it starts crying like a small girl :p (they're close enough not to worry about in the real world)

So when would we expect to pick this up sim free or on contract?

I'm guessing £500 upon release?

I have no mobile right now and I'm so close to getting a Note but I know at the end of this month I will raging hard when the II is released hopefully? :(

Depends really, I mean if the phone itself is still the same size as the Note I or slightly smaller but the screen itself is closer to the edges, 5.5" to me is win win.

Can't wait to see the Note II.

Why can't Samsung loose the hard home button :( and have on screen buttons like the GN or all touch sensitive buttons like the X and S. Ruins the front of the device (it looked nice on the GS 2 though)

I'll also be VERY disappointed if it doesn't have a black front bezel. Having an almost indistinguishable screen from bezel is half the reason OLED is so good.
