****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II ACCESSORIES Thread***

anyone tried any of the replacement batteries ? i have the Isle Wight festival this coming weekend and im guessing my battery wont make 3 full days for what i use the phone for

I highly, highly reccommend one of these... Proporta Turbocharger 5000 http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=5287&t_mode=des

I have the 3400 model and it will charge my S2 phone around 1.5x-1.75x... so the 5000 should be good for a full 2 or maybe 3 charges.

Woohoo, finally!

I got the PNY 16GB SDHC Card - these are the transfer rates

SC20110603-1051061.jpg

I got the same card and SD tools shows the same speeds as yours, however, if I coy a file in mass storage mode, I get speeds of 4mb a sec, which is really slow.

I have measured the file transfer speed in both Mac OSX and in Server 2008 R2 and both show the same speeds. Can anyone with this card check their transfer speeds on a computer laptop, to compare?

nice, i just saw this, i posted in the other thread as thought i must have not asked the question... dam 2 threads :D

so you charge the thing up, then take it with you allowing you to charge your phone ?

I'm thinking of getting another case. I've got the Samsung official flip case but am finding it a bit of a ball-ache really. I like the fact that I don't really need a screen protector anymore, but the flip looks ridiculous whilst making calls. Hmm.

What's the consensus with the cases, there are so many I'm unsure as to what I should go for. Don't like the way the official one leaves a lot of the phone exposed (no good if I accidentally drop it!)

Even with 2 long life rechargable batteries you would have 4200mah.

And if its not charged for some reason you can buy batteries anywhere.

Other item posted by Richdog just seems too expencive for what you might only use once.

Just to add my experiences of screen protectors... I've used the Zagg InvisiblShields many times in the past and thought they were great, and I'm sure they'd do a better job than most of preventing scratches, but unfortunately they do suffer a few flaws... As mentioned, the orange peel effect is noticeable and it will lower the quality of the picture, which is a bit of a crime with a screen like this. The last one I installed also had a manufacturing defect, basically two rather large dead straight lines across it that you couldn't see when the screen was off, but had that rainbow effect when it was on - not happy.

Currently I'm using a Brando Ultra Clear and it's leaps and bounds ahead of the Zagg imo. It feels much nicer to use and you can't see it's there when it's clean, but it pulls the grease off your fingers like nobodies business (I've read the Brando is much like the Martin Fields, but a bit thinner). I have high hopes for the SGP Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic!

You don't use it once, i've used mine countless times... you carry it in your bag or pocket and just think how many times it will save your life when out and about with no access to a wall socket... camping for a weekend, at a gig, or at a party with no charger. It has saved my life many times and I take it a lot of places. It's a very worthwhile investment.

The 7dayshop one has had terrible reviews on Amazon so I might get the proporta one.

It arrived!

Build quality is as good as something I'd expect to buy from a retail outlet in this country. Certainly not anywhere near the usual eBay made in China stuff you'd expect. GMarket did good with this one so good luck and touch wood to anyone else wanting one and hopefully you do!

Connection is just x1 MicroUSB, when you connect an AC lead it is seen by the phone as an AC source while USB from PC/TV is USB.

It's very small and looks pretty cool. It has rubber feet which pop out to reveal the screws underneath. One of my one's feet were off balance so I switched them all with bigger sticky rubber feet as I prefer those.

It works with and without case (comes with a rubber insert for when you don't have a case). Seems all case types are covered as there's some room left when I use it with the official Samsung vented case.

I was going to erase out the Zenis logo but it's silver in colour and looks fine so will be leaving it on now. I think the picture on Gmarket's website was a bit rubbish is all.

For £15~ it was well worth it!

how much space is left when with the case on? is it noticeable? what about plugging the phone in and out; is it easy enough or will the dock go with the phone so requiring 2 hands? anything you can think of that another dock does that would be better then this?

so you gone back to the dusty official case then? the other not as flashy? :p

The Nillkin has a design fault which I mentioned earlier hence why I'm no longer using it, see earlier pic!

You can remove it with 1 hand but you need to use your pinky to press gently on the cradle as it will lift up if you just pull the phone. Only gently though. It is a MicroUSB port and not contact pins like on the Nexus 1.

There isn't that much room for moevemtn, there's a few mm just to cater for slightly thicker gel cases I guess. You can completely remove any movement by placing a small sticky rubber pad on each side of the seat I guess but it's not really necessary. You can safely use the phone while it is in the dock.

It doesn't do anything extra that others don't but it does differentiate between AC and USB power sources, something the cheap eBay ones do not do and it can be used with a case still on the phone so I guess it can do 2 things lol.

thanks. you've sold it to me now so will wait until it's back some where and get one unless something else comes along. i didn't like that it is small at first (i had htc hero dock and that took a lot of surface space) but now really like it. shame it's name rhymes with penis :p

didn't realise the nillkin case issue was unintentional. to me looks like it was designed to keep the phone screen ever so slightly off the surface. if it was at the bottom half you'd feel it when holding but the top you are less likely to. seems like a good idea if it's not noticable

Nope it's not an idea but a fault heh, the slope is only on one side so serves no fundamental purpose at all! It can only be a design or manufacture flaw. The lip should be the same size on both sides like on the official case.
