****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II ACCESSORIES Thread***

Street the bad points of the martin sp seems due to the application. Would you say if it had gone on right first time then you wouldn't have had any problems.

I'm looking to get ascreen protector that's crystal clear and can hardly tell its on there.

Turns out the cheapo docking station on eBay CAN be used as an AC source not just USB like I thought originally. Just plug the USB hard wired cable into the mains AC plug instead of using the bundled AC adapter as the port only pushes through USB port power whereas the hardwire is AC or USB.

I then took to it with a black & decker rotary drill and took away some of the edging so it can be used with a case and voila! I now have a dock for my desk at work :D

Obviously doesn't look as nice as the Zenis up close especially after the DIY hacking but it works :p

Also have that dock. Thanks for testing out with the power cable. I didn't fancy frying something. Think I will go for the zenis when its back forsake. Khaann ur a accessories whore. :)

I don't think it will fry anything since the phone software is what controls the current being drawn for charge anyway and it controls the whole process :)

Still, all good!

I have a stash of GSII stuff now that I don't use but will come in handy for giveaways and stuff I guess or spares. More on that at another date tbh :p

Shoudl have read Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaans review of the case. It however does look really smart but seems to lack that extra bit of protection for the phone.

It's not a major issue though really, the case-Mate and Nillkin both provide more protection to the top and bottom but both of those cases are not as cool and show marks/smudges way faster.

You guys think someone will make a rom that charges faster? I'm sat in my car now browong the net while using a car charger and the battery is draining faster than the charger will charge it.

What charger in the car? I have no problems with the eBay one I bought, seen as an AC source and was able to charge it while navigating!

Watching them learn and have fun is worth more than the phone.

Not quite sure I follow that somewhat idealistic logic. Buy her a cheap smartphone and let her play with that then. :p

Its a real shame the Official Samsung Case does not cover the ends of the phone

The one I bought in the OP protects fully, looks fine, and has the added benefit of being pretty making the phone much spillproof as the edges really hold tight to the side of the phone, such a close fit. Can't see me replacing it to be honest.

Its one off ebay for £1.30 delivered. On the side is says 1000ma output DC5.0 + 5%

Hmm I'd compare it with another one :p

I bought 2 off eBay, both were cheap but the one I've been using since the desire has never had a problem whilst the new one is also rated at 1000mA over 5v doesn't seem capable of at least holding the charge while navigating.

It's all down to the components used inside them!

Waterproof Bike Mount for Samsung Galaxy S2

Anyone like me who bikes would find that pretty invaluable I think! However, one thing worth bearing in mind is a post from XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14530970#post14530970

Be very careful.

If you are MTBing versus riding on the road. The vibrations are too harsh and cause issues with the internal connectors.

I personally have lost a garmin GPS and my HTC Polaris phones. First ride and within 15 mins started rebooting etc. Garmin stated to reboot with just fine knocks.

Warned a mate when he was mounting a iphone, decided to risk it and 5 mins his touchscreen failed. Another mate his iphone started to reboot.

Something to think about.
