****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II ACCESSORIES Thread***

i don't like the black s line gel case. it's what i use atm only because unlike khan i don't fancy buying 100 different cases so waiting for reviews on how cases work with docks, car holders etc. it gathers dust around the screen and i don't like the gripping bumps around the edge. they end up feeling a bit too sharp on my soft skin :(

If it's DTS then surely when outputting via HDMI if you conect it to an AV receiver then the DTS stream will be decoded and output as such?

Or your TV set if it supports decoding of such streams.

None of my media is DTS so I'm all OK in this regard, much prefer AC3!

That's what i'm hoping. If i connect it to my AV receiver it should hopefully passthrough the DTS to that to do the decoding.

Fingers crossed.

2 things:

1: I don't have an AV receiver, I have a connected PC where all my BR/MKVs are played from to the HDTV!

2: I could test a DTS audio encoded mkv via some other player like MoboPlayer or something and see if audio is output though I guess!

For those that are interested, Martin Fields have finally started selling stock of their screen protectors for the S2 on their official website with 4-9 working day delivery at £14.98

It also includes a lens protector for the camera which is a nice touch imo.

Anyone know how the Zagg protectors are? Carphone Whorehouse are selling them for £15.

Also, Phones4U have stock of the official Samsung flip case at £20.

I bought the white Nillkin case, fits nice and has a nice feel, but the material marks really easy and because it's matt finish you can't really clean it properly so after 1 day in my pocket it's looking quite grubby.

Connected it to a HD projector today via the MHL adapter. Sound being directed down the HDMI is a bit crap for media when connected to a projector. Picture is great and playing Angry Birds on a 10ft screen was interesting.

Hmm, I really like the look of the official case and the nilkin one. I've got a silicon case on my current phone which gives a solid non slip feel in my hand, makes me feel confident not to drop it. So I'm thinking of just buying a siicon/gel case when I get the S2. Can anyone confirm if the official case and the nilkin one is as 'grippy' as gel? They look like metal and I'd imagine would create dents and scratches if dropped, as opposed to gel which doesn't.

I got the PNY 16GB SDHC Card - these are the transfer rates
