Someone on XDA reporting that his PAYG bought from a shop was locked. He paid £15 to a third party for an unlock code which he got 15 mins later. :)
 
Can I ask a nub Q.

Porting my existing number to T-Mobile via Phones4U....Do I simply place my order, contact Virgin to request the PAC & contact T-Mobile with new number, old number & PAC?

I've had my number ever since my first mobile, keeping it it more important than getting a new handset & I worry I'll do something wrong and lose it :o

Phone your current provider and tell them you want your PAC code to transfer your existing number to new provider. Give PAC code to new provider and your old number should move in 7 -10 days.
 
Got my galaxy s2 on monday so thought id add my 2 pence.

The phone is utterly awsome, the camera is stupidly good and looks better then my point and shoot sony thats 14mps.

The screen is wonderful, was using it in my dark room and thought id check what the brightness it was at, it was at the lowest setting! Turned it up to full and it actually hurt my eyes.

Got around 9 hours with the first charge basically constant use, the screen was on the whole day playing drag racing :-P charged it from almost dead last night and general use today so far its at 93% thats been on battery power for 6hours now.

Any questions please ask, i upgraded from a hero so this phone is a masshoosive step up, cant find a sibgle fault, although signal yesterday wasnt great that was down to orange, using 02 sim atm and the internet is really fast, even on edge.
 
Just canceled my payg order with O2,my local o2 shop has them instock now.
Still not to sure if to buy payg or get a upgrade and us my 30% discount on top??

Hehe, no I don't work at ARM:)
I just have a genuine interest in tech and gadgets, so I'm awaiting the release of this phone in my country so I can buy it ASAP.
Have been waiting many months now.. I knew this was my next phone the second I started to hear roumors about it:D

The reason you may not see that many norwegians around, could be the fact that we have a population of less than 5mil.:eek:

Yeah, you do have a very small and generally more pleasant population compared to here.

I've noticed that the Norwegian networks are often slow at getting phones out, that sucks :(
 
I checked bestbuy too and it wasn't even in stock there yet, the girl who asked if I needed help said they had no idea when it was in other than next week some time.

I asked for her number so I could call some time and find out if it's in stock, nudge nudge.







Although I thought of that after I'd left the store and got back in the office.

Just been and picked one up from my local Carphone Warehouse, and coming from a iPhone 3G the screen and speed is fantastic! The camera is good too, as is the 1080 video recording.

As others have said, the battery cover is thin and flimsy, but this is moot as soon as its back on the phone so I don't think its durability will be an issue unless your changing microSD cards every day.

Anything I should do/download first from the app market?

Yeah, but I dont buy from the providers. I ordered mine from norways largest electro warehouse wich ships may 6th, so my long wait is coming to an end;)

Not sure how desparate you are Khaaan but they have them in stock in Phones 4 you in Guildford yesterday in you fancy a run up the A3 :D was soooo close to getting one there and then but common sense prevailed (for now).
