02 selling sim free for £399

sorry if i am already preaching to the already converted:rolleyes: but 02 is selling the SGSII for £399 sim free Link removed. "there is a catch. You will not be able to unlock the device for approximately 90 days"

I'm sure this is another ridiculous question but...

Am I going mad? I press the green "Phone" icon at the bottom of the home page and it takes me straight to the "Logs" screen with 3 other tabs "Contacts", "Favourites" and "Groups". How on earth do I get the phone keypad up to dial a new number?

I can't for the life of me find a way of doing it!

Thanks again!

I had this ;) That top bar scrolls. Move it left and you'll see 'Keypad'

Always to slow!

Wouldnt worry about the stupid things...I missed a call that was ringing in my hand and kept mashing the green answer button.....3 calls later and I realised I had to SWIPE it to the right to answer the call!

However, an obvious temporary solution is to use a program like Locale and set it so that the phone is on silent between a time period of lets say 12am and 6am, when the phone has likely reached full charge after a days use. This will stop you getting woken up by a beep.

Having to pay £6.10 to not get woken up by your phone in the middle of the night does seem a rather pricey solution!! Bit of an oversight by Samsung but would assume they'll get it fixed unless they want an awful lot of jaded customers!

Third day of full usage today...

Battery so far seems almost twice as good as my old Nexus S :D

So far today have listened to music over bluetooth for 2 hours - made a few calls, sent a few texts and done some web surfing - battery currently at 66% after 7 hours unplugged - my Nexus S would be down below 50% by now :)

Perhaps I'm missing something obvious, but is there something in the articles of faith for the Church of Jesus Christ, Overclocker that forbids charging of mobile phones outside the bedroom? :D

On a more serious note, my phone doesn't seem to have a Full Charge sound - it just does a quick vibrate instead. As I've installed no system-altering apps, it must be possible to turn it off in the default OS. Just don't ask me how.

Some of us use the phone as an alarm, might be a problem if it was in a different room :p

But again, I've never been woken up by any notification of full charge, or even noticed one when I've charged it on my desk occasionally, either my phone doesn't do it or I'm going deaf...
