my phone is now buggered

i can't turn it on, it just comes up with a picture of a phone and a dotted line going to a pc........

dunno why i bothered!

anyone know how to fix?

You won't regret it! Really glad I made the impulsive purchase. :) Rarely treat myself to anything these days as I have a habit of having to justify it all but I had a lapse of concentration. ;)

So there i was about to hand over the readies at CPW for a sim free one (literally - he'd got it out of the stock room and was taking my details for the receipt) and some-one answers a wanted post i had on AVF offering a mint one for £390, so money went back in the pocket!

Will be delivered tomorrow :D

Mine arrives today, and my Skinomi screen protector next week.

Probably going with the Case-Mate Barely There case too.

Mate the case in the first pic looks awesome, really good for a cheapo jobbie. I got an S-line one too from a different seller, but will buy one of yours just in case I dont like the other one. :)

Did my Orange upgrade through mobiles.co.uk yesterday

Got a better deal than what Orange were offering, saving £5 a month compared to old contract, free SGS II plus £50 cash back and am now sitting with my nice unbranded,unlocked SGS II :D

It already had WKE1 firmware but Kies is offering me KE2. I'm going to leave that just now as seems there are problems with it for some. Plus, I haven't seen anyone mention what changes, if any, KE2 makes.

Have to say, I don't think it looks that much bigger than my SGS size wise.

I know some bang on about the build quality but I don't think there is anything wrong with the build quality. I love how thin and lite the phone is. Hated the HTC Desire S I had as it was to heavy. I think for size of screen, Samsung have gone the right way by keeping the phone lite and thin.

I'm away to play now :D

Awesome, just bought one myself, however plumped for one a couple of quid more expensive ain order to get a nice smart black one that doesnt look as cheapy (purely aesthetical reasons) as the silver one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HRS-Hirose-US...ultDomain_0&hash=item2a0c0e3f60#ht_1751wt_905
 
Ah cool, I like the silver one where you can see the braided cable :p

Shame the GS II doesn't support NTFS file systems though, this still means chunking large MKV files.
 
I've installed Handcent SMS, however, I'm a bit confused as to how I replace the "Messaging" icon with it down the bottom? I disabled notifications on standard messaging options but am a bit unsure how to finish setting everything up? Any chance of helping the noob? :p

Also, does Handcent make the SMS Popup app redundant?

I've had my one of those arrive yesterday, as the case mate is not out yet - and tbh I think I'm going to cancel my pre-order of the case mate, as I am quite impressed by this case for such a cheap price!
