I'm getting sick of waiting for this to turn up now. My Orange contract ended in Jan, so I've just let it roll over waiting for the Galaxy 2.

I'm liking the contract prices on Mobiles.co.uk, looks like it will be about £30-60 for the phone and that gets you a £30pm 24mth contract. Falls more or less in line with the high end phone pricing for Android and is well under the iPhone 4 in most cases.

That is the 16GB model, however -

Memory
16GB Internal Memory, 1GB RAM
MicroSD (TransFlash) up to 32GB

Still, a 16GB SD card doesn't cost a fortune, and the 32GB ones will come down if you fancy it.

I'm going to be struggling to fight off temptation especially if they dont announce a new iPhone. I'll get one ordered as soon as a release date is confirmed.

But is it worth waiting for the HTC EVO 3D? We'll see.

wow - a phone released earlier than expected?

I'm considering my options. Buy the phone sim free for £540 and go on giff gaff for 18 months @ £10 a month or go for £25 a month * 24 months on Orange + £120 for the phone.

I really don't like the idea of 24 month contracts...Or wait a couple more months and see if the price comes down a bit...

OK scratch that - just noticed you can do 'upgrade' deals with mobiles.co.uk and I am within 90 days of the end of my orange contract. £25 * 18 months (what i'm on now) and £280 for the phone. Trade in my desire for £150 and it looks pretty good...

Vodafone best deal is ok, Only thing lacking is internet usage. Not sure how much an extra 500mb would be. Get line rental 1/2 price for 12 months also.

^^ Are you upgrading rafster?...as that allowance will drop to 500MB.
