****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I put it down to the base code for Android. Most phones don't have large internal storage, so anything not being saved to the ROM area will be named as going to the SD.

Fair enough, makes sense! TBH I'm struggling to see how I'll manage to fill up the base storage as it is. SD card will be better for music, video and whatnot I suppose. I don't see why I'd want to install apps to SD Card in all honesty.

Mine came today very happy with it, I wasn't sure about the exposed parts but doesn't worry me now, very slim case and looks the part very pleased.

You can get it from Phones4U shops which seems to come in at £9.99 or ebay that is where I got mine from for £8.95 but he has put the price up yet again its now £9.95, it was originally £7.95 on there link below.

Mine came today from the same seller, I made an offer of £8 which was accepted. £8 including delivery was a pretty sweet deal I thought.

Anyone found a decent screen protector brand yet? Went for a MFX and promptly screwed up the fitting so it's got a few bubbles. It doesn't really fit the screen properly so i'm not entirely pleased with it anyway, will do for now though...

I'm having trouble getting my contacts over from my Blackberry. I can't save them to my sim card because BBs are weird like that. I've imported them to my PC as Windows contacts, but both KIES and Gmail won't recognise the format.

KIES and Gmail look for .csv files and the like, but Windows saves them as .contact.

As Samuel L Jackson would say - "Google, mother-****er, do you speak it?"

just got my official samsung galaxy s 2 case and it is very nice and discreet! it is better than the case mate barely there - especially with the power button, the barely there obscured it a touch too much, this case fits great... Love the feel too.

No, but you can open the .contact file in outlook and do it from there.

If you don't use Outlook at all, I bet the answer is still in google somewhere, that was just the top option for ".contact to .csv"

I also got my genuine galaxy s2 case today, very impressed can't see how it can be improved upon. Can't recommend it enough for people that don't have one yet.

I plan on getting an EXiM SPuC for mine when(/if) I get it. I have used them on any decent phone my wife or I have had in the past few years and they have always been superb.

I used to buy them from the same Hong Kong based seller on the bay but they appear to be winding down their listings. There is another retailer on there but they don't have the full range but you can order from them directly.

I think this link should be ok on the forum http://shop.eximstyle.com/Samsung-i9100-Galaxy-S-II-a4-m2240.aspx

Bit of a wait for them via snail mail but I would be happy enough ordering via paypal.

Not that I'm close go giving in to temptation despite the lack of NFC or anything, but I've just phoned all the CPW and P4U shops in the immediate area and none will sell them SIM free. Are there any other high street shops that people are aware of that will sell them SIM free, or is it a case of order online?

why do people like the samsung case so much? I admit it's the first case i've owned but it feels like it will just ping off if dropped and it doesn't protect the bottom or the top...not to mention it collects dust more than I thought possible

I've been through about 4 different one's now. All had issues, non-transparent, bad fit, too soft, lifts at edges... Finally found the SGP Steinheil, I have the Oleophobic Anti-Fingerprint version. Excellent protector, good fit and uses a low tac adhesive. So it sticks even around the cut-outs. Exportprive, 2 pack for a tenner. Or ebay seller gutkoreainc.

I don't like the way some parts are exposed... dropping the phone and having it land on those parts = gouges/scratches. For the moment, I have a casemate case that does the job well and protects everything.
