****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Is it just a fault with the phone then?

I'm not sure - can't see any other people apart from yourself with this problem.

Not sure if it's because I'm comparing it to my iPhone.

A lot of people here are saying that 75% volume is ear-splitting which is simply not the case on my handset.

To put it into perspective - on the tube - if my iPhone was up to around 65% I'd feel conscious that other people could hear the noise. With the SGS2 at full blast - I have no concerns at all...

Just setting mine up now - I bought a SIM free handset and am moving my Orange SIM to it - can anyone tell me what the Orange APN details are?

Edit: Scratch that, it seems it already had them in.

Yeah I was nervous about buying SIM free thinking it'd be a nightmare to set up, but it was effortless with the network selection wizard thingy! :)

I have cancelled my order with Buymobilephones but not because of the stock delay. Some ^$£^%$^%$ in a transit stradling the white line smashed my wing mirror about an hour ago and I now need the £50 for the phone to help pay for a new one, as the %£$%$%&^% didn't hang around. :(

What deal did you get rG-tom ?

5 month early upgrade which crippled the deal a little, but 24 month contract, £30 a month, 600 minutes 500 texts 1gb internet (apparantly but i wont hold my breath on that) and £60 for phone. With friends and family that is £15 a month, which makes it £420 over the term of the contract. It would've been £106 to buy my contract out and start a new contract.

Tom.

Ring them back they tried that with mesaying that they know nothing about the offer and saying that it was an online deal only what a load of rubbish.
I told the gimp that it is on the web site he said he cannot see it:confused:
his manager said he knew nothing of the offer:confused:
It is on the web site no sign of "online offer only" if you walk into a VF shop its in their mag and plastered all over the wall. I got the guy to give me a £30 credit:D

Out of stock of the POTC boxset.

They said they should get some more in. If I call them back they should be able to send me one out. I would rather take a £30 credit though.

I agree, I have mine on full volume and the pre amp on almost full in PowerAmp and it's nowhere near as loud as my Sansa Clip+ was, quite disappointed with the volume.

Yup must be my handset - as I keep saying - I'm comparing the volume to my iPhone / iPod and it's a huge difference. Definitely not an issue with my hearing!

Yea think mines going back, connected the same headphones to the iPod and its at its usual volume and its plenty of sound.

Full volume on the SGII with poweramp Eq and preamp at full and its not even close to the same sound.
