seriously pop in any shop that sells the SGS2 and ask to sample the device, take your headphones and then have a little play. It could be an app or something, have you tested different media such as video and music? try the radio too

I'll have a go - was thinking it might be hard to compare to another handset in a store (as it's not preloaded with any media) so that's a good idea about the radio

Well, I needed a business account and that pretty much means going direct to the networks.

Hardly any of the other phone retailers/etailers will touch business.

Is there really much benefit to removing the Samsung hubs? People say the Social Hub uses battery but I never use FB or anything like that so doubt it's chewing up much power...

cant say really, but i removed around 15 items, i don't like the icons being in my app drawer and yahoo finance widgets and crud like that, its like what you get when you get a new pc. cant wait to wipe it and get CM7 which is clean and tidy.
