****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

The Hero is shocking, the new phones are a world apart!

I've never understood people saying that really, compared to the sort of Android phones you can get now then yeah it's worlds apart, but I've had no problems with mine. I got rid of sense ui for launcher pro, dolphin browser, plenty fast, never crashed, rarely slowed down, it was a cracking little phone, I'm amazed how dated it is now though in terms of performance, I actually remember turning it on and thinking "Wow how can phones get any better than this?" :p

I thought the Hero was good when I got it, after a while it was just fiddly and slow, the camera was next to useless and its battery was a bit questionable.

The Desire was a thousand times better, the Hero never really did anything for me. I suppose I am more difficult to please than your average phone user though :p

I'm not sure whether you would call it the 'best', but Kies Air comes pre-installed as part of the Samsung software, give it a try. I like it :)

One of my cases better be in the letterbox today :(

I've found the opposite so far but I'm going to factory reset tonight with battery at 100% and hopefully it should end up better than KE1 was on battery.

I find KE7 better for battery too, the baseband has changed so whatever Samsung did to the new Radio version might be attributing to this. I'm on 54% after 15 hours at present and am getting to a stage where I can charge the phone at night, unplug before bed and still go the whole work day without a charge and have charge left when I get home at 6:30PM.

Another one with mini Android statues!

They're awesome!

can anyone check this form me. using the default samsung alarm set an alarm that also has snooze option enabled. lay the phone down flat few minutes and then when the alarm goes off try to stop it by swiping either of the options on the screen.

mine doesn't work. it picks up my finger after a short second as the phone vibrates and i can sometimes move it part of the way but it can't detect the full swype so i have to hold the phone up straight which is a pain in the morning when half asleep trying to get it to stop.

wondered if it's just me.

As I said in the other thread, that video really shows up the Sensation, the Galaxy S II really is a monster. The screen as well, not just the performance.

Tried a Galaxy S2 in the shop today. It is not that thin! I was expecting a lot thinner from what people said! It would have been a perfect size for most people with a 4inch screen in my opinion.

What do you mean 'from what people said', it is a very thin phone. Its not a thin as a credit card though, obviously...
