****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

A communication protocol that works "automatically" without the user having to authorise it seems like a bit of a security risk to me. Don't think using your phone as a credit card is that needed and don't want to interact with advertising billboards either...

It's not unlimited data, it's got a fair use policy limit of 500mb which makes it the same as the voda contract in that respect.
just checked that out and found out about them changing it earlier in the year, how rude, oh well, gets me a new phone 6 months earlier than usual though

I think companies should be banned from using the term 'unlimited' if they are going to apply a fair use LIMIT to it. Surpised they can get away with it tbh....

I've never understood that either. Seems like blatant false advertising, but apparently the regulating authorities don't entirely agree.

Well Orange haven't phoned me back yet which is a bit annoying. I'm hoping they were ringing to ask why I'd cancelled my current contract (to get a new one on the S2 is the reason).

Jabba, not conviced they will be going out today. Just checked my contract confirmation mail from Phones4U and it says..

"As soon as it leaves Phones4u we will send you an email to confirm that it has been despatched."

..and not had that mail yet. If they want any chance of it getting to me by tomorrow I'd expect it to be dispatched by now (or 5pm at the latest). I'll keep my eye on my emails.

The guy is now saying they use Royal Mail, but the delivery page said DHL hence my answer :p

Many places dispatch and then send the emails later on in the day, so dont worry just yet.

Just tried there online live chat and the chap said this.

I can confirm the order has been successful. It is currently awaiting despatch. We do email you to confirm once the handset has left our warehouse.

This from one chap.

From experience around 5PM but it could be after this time that a confirmation email is sent. As you can imagine it's going to be a very busy day over at the warehouse as always with the launch of a fantastic new handset that is in high demand

Just had a call back from P4U at Cribbs Causeway Bristol saying they have released the stock for sale now. Have reserved on for pick up in an hours time.

Probably going to go for a Panther £40 tariff reduced to £35 with £5 bill credit. 900 minutes, unlimited texts, 750Mb internet + email and wifi and free phone.
