Whoever has this phone... can you confirm the UK version has a 1.2GHz Samsung dualcore? Because the UK and some European countries are meant to get this, while the yank version and other countries will get a 1GHz dualcore Tegra 2, as far as i know...

And has anyone here got an unlocked S2 yet? I'm going to order an unlocked S2 within 24 hours to replace my Xperia X10 but nowhere seems to have them in stock yet.

I wouldnt know how to check the cpu however my s2 is unbranded and unlocked

This the phone i been waiting for ticks all the boxes for me :-D , and yes Robbo my small girly hands cope with it fine ;-)

i like the fact you can set a wallpaper as a static one or the standard android where it shifts as you swipe , also glad to see with live wallpaper on the phone is still silky smooth.

Anyone fancy taking some low light shots preferably inside,is there a lot of noise in low light shot's? whats video like indoors/in the dark?

Just been offered an extension on my existing mobile phone contract:

  • 12 months
  • £225 handset price

COnsidering I live abroad where the mobile deals are HORRIBLE (free minutes basically don't exist, but I get unlimited SMS and 1GB data for 20 quid a month), I think a clear 50% reduction on a top handset like this over a short 12 month contract with the same low (comparatively, for here) monthly charge is alright, non?

Can someone put a bundle of scene release 720p mkvs through the phone to see if the samsung processor is better than the Tegra 2 at supporting various profiles of 720p?

I put a gods or the arena episode on in mkv format and it was fine 720p but there is a limit to file size, I tried a 1080p of it and it was 4.98gb and it wouldn't load it says its to big for the file system.

Can also confirm Smallville and No ordinary family played flawless.

IF ITS NOT OK TO TALK ABOUT THOSE I WILL REMOVE IT.

Sounds like its limited by FAT32 or similar which won't allow over 4gb files. Does anyone know if it would support a microsd card formatted as NTFS? My 16gb card hasn't arrived yet so i can't test.
