My 14yr old brother has the S2 now and I’ve installed Cerberus under my account on it so that it’s secured safely should it go lost at school or whatever. I’ve set it to email me location details and a front camera pic if the unlock code is entered wrong on a 3rd attempt.

Yesterday I received 4 photos and today 1, so he’s entered the wrong code 15 or so times in the last 24 hours…. The uber micro is weak in this one!
 
I should remotely lock it to teach him a lesson ¬_¬

And then send a TTS message saying "LOL NOOB" or something!
 
Which of the Samsung based ics roms would people recommend as I've been using checkrom 6 for many months and been very happy with that, but things are very dead on its xda thread so it looks like development will stop with a gingerbread rom and I am itching to try some ics goodness.

I have been extremely impressed with checkrom so am just looking for a fairly stock based ics rom, with a kitchen to adjust the look and feel of the rom and also for something that is compatible with jkay deluxe settings.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Anyone know if the Sena CASE fits with an extended battery?

It may not fit when it is brand new as the leather on the case softens over time, but my 1 year old sena case fits my phone with the extended battery just fine
 
cheers Spudgun - It's pricey but I may just get one. What colour do you have? The tan entices me. Is it really high quality/durable? Ever dropped it?
 
I've got a black one and it is extremely high quality (as it should be for the price). Can't help with durability though as I am very careful with my phone

Lol at least he's improving on the wrong code ratio, actually good idea mrk, I'll do that if I decide to give my eldest the Note later in the year rather than selling it, I had wondered if it might encourage theft, now if it does I'll catch the *****, it'l make a good xmas prez,
 
Well i took the plunge:

Rooted the phone via odin
Bought titanium backup
Factory reset
Restored via titanium
Froze all the bloatware
Bought triangle away to reset counter and remove the yellow triangle
Installed adfree
Flashed the orange signal booster apk onto my unbranded gs2 (works brilliantly)

Phone feels like its brand new and how it should have been bought.

I've not really got an interest in changing roms so what else can i do to the stock rom?

Any apps i should get to utilise my root?
 
Jkay deluxe settings (+ framework) is a must for me.

You might also want to go for a more recent ICS stock rom (LPG is the most recent I think) as the Orange branded one might be quite old now.

Spend time reading XDA too as it will help you loads
