****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

If I get time I am going to install it over the weekend, but even if the samsung material is left in it is easily frozen with titanium backup.

NEAT lite release is also imminent

Went with the lite version. Seems like a good stable rom, although there's no real massive changes that I could see from GB. Enjoying having the new Jkay lockscreen, apex launcher and chrome.

Neatlite is a lovely stock derived rom and I've been impressed so far.

ICS isn't a massive leap from GB - but there are enough little things to make it a useful update

What is the framerate like for others here using iplayer live broadcasts on the phone? When I play recorded iplayer programmes, the framerate is excellent and as smooth as watching on TV, but with live programmes, the framerate is lower and so less smooth, and the lipsync is slightly out. Is this how it is for others?

Never used iplayer for live tv. Fine with recorded ones though.

Have you tried the TVcatchup beta app? it is very good!

:)

NELE4 is the only Three modem out at the moment but I'm using XXLF2 as a daily. Currently testing NELE4 still.

Ohhhh man, for some reason I thought this was the S3 thread LOL.

LP3 is what I was using on the S2.

Thanks for the link. I copied the TVCb32.apk to my phone and installed it. This is absolutely amazing! Over 40 channels, nice. I thought by the name 'catchup' it was going to be like iplayer, but they're all live broadcasts, just a minute or two behind what I see on TV. Smooth as silk, great image quality and audio completely in sync. :)

When the Euro's are over you'll have ITV HD & NHK HD also! :)

Brilliant app I have to say.

I've been using the FoxHound Rom with Siyah kernel for a week now, and I have to say I'm rather impressed. The installer is rather sexy, and after removing all the TW bloat with Titanium, battery life is astounding compared to CM9. I've found one minor bug in my daily use (unlock screen takes a while if wifi is on - must be waiting for DHCP), but compared to the CM9 nightlies I was using, it's utterly stable.

I'd definitely recommend this rom :)

lol? 1h11mins kept awake by "android OS"

screen on time 22mins.. - had 3.4hrs and bat was at 14% so its not that bad on battery life but cmon im used to seeing android os below my screen on time :(

can't really find whats causing it.. batterbatterystats show nothing.. :/

haven't refreshed the times sadly but looking at them they still look wrong and it looks as if android os really keeps my phone awake..

total state time on cpu spy - 77hrs(rounded up)

deep sleep - 45hrs
200mhz - 22hrs
500mhz - 5hrs
800mhz - 3hrs
1000mhz - 6 mins
1200mhz - 1.45hrs

so its kept awake and it bothers me even tho the battery lasts me all day from unplugging to plugging back in

Kinda looks ok to me - but can't be certain.

I'd say refresh cpu spy and keep an eye on it.

Can you post shots up of batterbatterystats - kernel and partial wakelocks.
