I think £200 is at the top of their price band tbh, Its a bloody good phone but with Notes and S3's creeping down to £250 ish on the likes of AVF i know where my wonga would be heading.

I gotta say the JB leak has given me no reason to switch from the S2 until a S4 appears, im in love with my phone again!
 
Just put JB leak on mine. Wow its smooth. Very snappy and everything works nicely.
Love Google sync, everything back how it was 30 mins a go :)
 
Am i right in thinking that that jellybean leak doesnt require root?

Also if i download it and flash it via odin will games etc still retain their saved settings it doesnt wipe anything?

Its for my g/f, ever since i put ics on her phone when she didnt want me to its been awful for crashing and battery and hasnt let me touch it since. Just gave me permission so came on here to look at how to root etc but saw the jellybean sammobile leak.

She wont lose her tiny village etc will she? :|
 
Okay a bit worried about this leak as its seems to simlock peoples phones?

Can someone link me to a good guide to root her phone and flash paranoid android onto it as that seems to be highly regarded?

tbh i went through a lot of ROM's a month or so ago and i couldn't find one that was as bugfree as i needed!

so i went with this - loved it when it was based on GB

love it now too! had it for over a month and i haven't had any problems! :) if your gf wants a stable working rom without much fiddling just get her that and be done!

also youtube for tuts on how to do it :)
 
I had simlock on my card anyway btw. I put my code in and it unlocked fine.
Battery is superb on it. Keyboard is well responsive. As is the screen.
Like a new phone.. Had a few 2 second freezes on the lock pattern screen but other than that it really is brilliant.
 
Can you then take the code off or does this rom require u to keep it for some reason? g/f would crucify me if that happened lol.

Hmm it doesnt let me add a simlock, says i have incorrect pin? Where do you get the simlock from in the first place?

You others guys that installed the leak, have u had the simlock problem?
 
I just followed the link posted earlier and it all went through fine, didnt need to bother with the unlock i assume because the phone was bought online so will have been factory unlocked. All went through fine anyway so thanks for the help :)
 
Just updated to 4.1.2 (thanks for the link). Perfect so far, a nice new lease of life.

I needed to do the unlock code, so thanks to the user who mentioned that may be a problem.

Used an app on the market before flashing to get the unlock number: 00000000
Mines an o2 contract phone.

Looking for root now
 
Okay so my brother's first S2 I posted about before ended up being a faulty handset, was wondering why it wouldn't boot :p - Replacement arrived and installed Wanam V13 (JB 4.1.2) and it's very smooth indeed.

Thumbs up for the S2 still kicking like a new phone!
 
What's everyone's battery life like on the 4.1.2 leak? Mines pretty much halved :(

Full charge, 12 hours later and 25 minutes of screen on = 43% left.

4.0.3 I could easily get 2 days with around 1.5 hours of screen on.
