You asked if it would be free on contract.
Some contracts are £10 per month, some are £20 and some are £60, all over different periods of time.
Generally though I think the S 3 will probably be free for £21-30 per month over 24 months.
If you're buying a phone now, you might want to look at the Xperia S instead of the Galaxy S II.
I'd say to get the S3 free you would be looking @ £30+ per month over 24 months.

Those sort of deals were around at launch as well. Those kind of prices are one of the big reasons it sold so well.
