***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

odd how this thread has beaten the galaxy nexus one already :o

It's not that odd.

There was a previous one for the Galaxy Nexus that was mostly speculation.

This has a lot of speculation. If you just included posts from the last month or so it'd be a lot smaller.

Early days I know but a Q for the former sgs2 owners

Worthy upgrade or minor advance?

Most definitely.
Nicer screen, better battery at stock with no need to root (and I had the extended battery on my s2), better audio quality, a notification LED
there are probably other benefits but these are the ones that have jumped out at me so far after having it 2 days

You see, that's a much better advert, properly demonstrating good uses of the phone.

They need to shorten it quite a bit though obviously!

How are people finding the look of the white one then, still happy with it? Is LED bleed annoyance at all?

Glad I chose white now. Was touch and go cloning from black s2.

The bleed I actually like. Gives it a nice glow rather than hard edge. Supposebutv each too their own.

The s3 is better in every way. Some not to obvious but some ways it's such a massive gap. I have both phones and it's just like the upgrade from the Sgs to the s2 was. Samsung have done really well.

I was going too root the phone last night but changed my mind as out has not given mine a reason to yet. S2 was rooted within minutes. :)

Right am sold will pick one up over the weekend, would have preferred blue but coming from a no homo white sgs2 it won't be a culture shock re led bleed.

Cheers

I had to turn the back and menu lights off. I don't mind the flashing LED bleed and find it too useful to turn off.

I've finally got some music on my phone and my Ultimate Ears 700 have never sounded so good. :)
