***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Looks good I say! I'm at 2 minds if I want to use the case now given how good the finish looks on the pebble blue refresh!

Another pic of the Pebble Blue next to Black Nillkin case in day light. Ignore dust etc ;)

Was thinking at work that a month ago when this phone was launched, most people were saying how bad the phone was. Now everyone wants one :)

Hate to bang on about it but that looks horrible! Quick get a case on it!

What's so good about the Nillkin case? (that's not rhetorical) Seen it mentioned a few times in this thread. ie, is it better than casemate/belkin/proporta etc due to materials, price or just aesthetics?

With my S2, the phone felt slippery naked so it had to have a case (if that makes sense?). The S3 doesnt feel slippery at all - kinda sticks to ur hand.

I got it because it was mentioned in the other thread by mrk. He has cost me a lot of money with my S2 :p:p

Now the phone is out you will get more better cases.

Nillkin cases feel the same as Casemate cases but cost half as much. Still a premium case though from the packaging to the case itself. The Rock case is the same in this regard.

Ok exchanged for one with a perfect screen.

Tip, the Vikuiti screen protectors are good but the cut out of it is not great. It protects the screen but not the whole face of the phone.

I quite like the Rock case I have on mine right now and it makes the phone feel nice to hold. However in certain lights the contrast between the grey case and pebble blue finish is too obvious for my liking.

I've got a rock case on order for use when I'm at work, I work all over the place and they tend to be filthy so this will stop it getting scratched on the back.

I wouldn't use the nillkin case, doesn't look very nice to me at all.

How can anyone with eyes say that finish looks horrible?!

Specsavers time for you all :)

I see, personally I like the Samsung's own flip case and mesh cases, though for something more rugged I have always been a fan of proporta.
Though, if casemate do their 'design your own' thing with the S3 I will most likely get one with my own pic.

If theres a case out there that would work with the samsung flip case that would, imho, give the best of both worlds.
Extra back and front protection without adding too much bulk.

Couldn't agree any more. Still hate the glossy finish with the brush effect and the camera, flash and speaker design area along with the trim and don't get me started on the home button!!!! :p

Just a ugly phone in my eyes. No idea how Samsung got the design/materials/finish so wrong for their flagship device.

I would actually prefer the white model myself tbh

Imagine what it could have looked like if they used aluminium with a lovely gun metal colour and brushed effect like on the Antec P182 and got rid of the physical home button and had a better camera/flash/speaker design like the GS 2 or one X/S!

The photos don't make it look any better either, no matter how good the camera or photographer is :p

And indeed! Thank god for nillkin, case mate barely there etc. cases! :p

Why would you want to protect the back of the flip case with another case?

You could use a silicon type case and cut the left edge off.

I think everyone has their own preferences but I quite like the look of this phone over the One X and even over the S2.

I did complain about the blue finish when it was first announced and although black would be better I don't mind the blue in the slightest.

It looks like someone has sat there for a few hours with a key scratching at the back of it, The speaker looks like it has been taken off a £5 toy & shoved onto a high end product it looks really out of place. Then there is the glossy look which looks cheap.

Again my opinion everyone has different tastes! :)
