quick question I'm using ICS browser+ when I zoom in on a web page and let go it automatically zooms back out to the full page is there any way to stop this?
 
Would someone be kind enough to explain how to actually install the apk file to the root folder? I've installed root explorer, and have the camera apk on my microSD. But no idea how to move it to the right folder :(

open root explorer
go to system/apps
copy samsungcamera.apk and the odex file under it, do this by holding the icon until a popup menu appears and click copy
now navigate to your sd card and paste them somewhere safe
go to your modded samsungcamera.apk, hold it and copy it
go to the system/apps folder again
press the r/w button to change it to r/o
find the stock samsungcamera.apk again and the odex file
delete both of these by holding and choosing delete
now use the paste button to paste in the modded apk you copied previously
hold the modded apk and choose permissions, make sure it matches the picture someone posted above and ok it
press the r/o button and thats it, done.
 
I went and saw the blue in CPW today, and I actually really liked it.

£499 sim-free is a bit of a bugger, but in P4U they were selling it for £599 :o
 
The more I see the pics of the blue vs the white, the more cheap I think it looks vs the white. The brushed metal effect just looks tacky under any light, whereas at least the white is a solid colour. Blue looks like a complete fingerprint magnet too.

Still haven't ordered either yet, will wait until the blue is in the shops so I can see both side-by for myself.

I think my galaxy is poorly, the last 3 mornings since recieving it ive woken up and its been either off or unresponsive on the lock screen, on holding down the power button for 8seconds it all reboots nicely to 0%/1% battery or i think one night It had dropped arround 35% of its battery from the 70% it had when I went to bed.

I havent been charging my phone at night this is simply something thats happened when it been sat doing nothing. You can see from the battery screen that the power has just dropped off a cliff face, not as if something is running at night to use the battry. Any ideas or do i ring three and ask them for a replacement because its seems to have done it everynight so far ?

I really like both myself, I'll have to decide when I actually see them.

I think the blue seems to look better in ideal conditions (dark), where it looks really good, but the white is more 'consistent'.

I also don't like the colour mismatch on the home button of the blue, that looks really tacky.

I'm over the design now, I don't think it's particularly great, but it's good enough.

Try a hard reset/wipe of the phone.

I only use Titanium Backup (rooting my phone is literally the first thing I do when I get) so cant really answer you so well... however a hard reset cures many software quirks, so when you figure out the backup situation then give it a try.
