If you can charge the phone up fully and use it for another day - post your battery graph like these:

That should give us a good idea of what apps/processes are draining your battery.
 
Well I have done a hard reset now and the google store or something I have set up on the phone installed all my apps again, once my battery is charged I will try leaving the phone for a good few hours too see if it does it again, because like I said its only happening at night really.

The awake graph Myshra where would I find that ? Is that the screen which the phone goes to on touching little graph at the top of the battery screen. Is there a way to calibrate the battery, as I said all seems to be well other than what is hopefully a software glitch.

Whilst Blue doesnt look as good as i hoped ( if you could have the silver trim that the white has on the blue it would look amazing), it is still better than the white. The white is bland and boring in my opinion. The brushed effect on the blue is lovely and the back cover looks gorgeous. ( and as i only use a pouch and not a cover/case, the look of the phone without anything else on it is important) i also just prefer a phones colour to be darker. I don't like white electronics.

Also, the phones i have seen in person are only early demo units so i dont know whether this "new" blue will look even better.

i will find out tomorrow as i will be receiving my Blue S3 and will post some pictures up.

I think the white gives it a bland/cheap look. The brushed effect on the Blue gives it a more premium look in my opinion.

It is all subjective anyway. :p

I still think the best combination would be the blue colour and the chrome/silver trim. I wonder if it would be possible to get hold of that trim from the white and swap it?
 
Been messing around and setting my S3 up for the past hour. So much to setup coming from a non Samsung phone so it is all new. I picked up my Desire just now and man does it suddenly seem tiny! LOL :D

Think I will probably root soon. Just wanted to make sure the phone is ok first :)
 
Can any one tell me how to disable the stock music player please ? ive got to its properties page , cleared cache,force stopped but the disable option is greyed out ?

im having a issue when playing music via poweramp,if i pause then unpause with the headphone switch it starts playing the stock music player instead of poweramp

its driving me nuts tbh,ive had a look on google but found no answers :(

I thought about the blue as you do about the white. I also can't stand a brushed effect on plastic either, it just makes it even more cheap looking (plastic fantastic trying to look metal).

All subjective of course ;)

You could freeze it with titanium backup...?
 
First whole day of heavy usage, I've been using the camcorder throughout, sending and receiving files over Wireless-N, sending and receiving files using S-Beam (which uses WiFi Direct), playing games, surfing the web, multiplayer games syncing, social networks and so on. Mixture of WIFi and HSDPA usage and a quick session of Satnav testing.

Brightness was varied from 35% to 100% outdoors.

I would never even dream of getting 4hours+ with the S2 and extended battery. Not over 16 hours anyway!

Edit* Bugger, I realise I never screenshotted the details screen there, I sent the screenshots over as I was in bed last night so half asleep. Still, that's the time with not even idle battery consumption thrown in over night. Factor that in and it's well over 24 hours :p


Also, USB OTG works fine, paired up an SSD formatted using exFAT, NTFS gives an error that the FS is unsupported although we all know that will change with custom kernels :p

Interesting to note, people freezing stuff using Titanium, don't freeze MyFiles.apk as when you plug a USB drive in, it calls for MyFiles which auto loads and shows you the drive contents. MyFiles is also called in other areas around the phone.

I know yours "came with" but do you know where I could get one of those usb ssd adapters, or even a part No, it looks ultra handy:cool:

Edit, after a few unsuccessful searches last night I gave up, just done an Eb search and instantly got plenty of hits.

Wonder how a pure stock ROM gets on without any apps being frozen?

Was that automatic brightness as well mrk? And was eye tracking on?

EDIT:

Roughly how much time was spent browsing the web and playing games?

No, not everyone does. Some people prefer AMOLED and some people prefer the IPS LCD.

In my opinion, AMOLED is preferable for media use, and LCD is better for things like browsing, looking at text, etc.

Generally though the X is considered to have a technologically superior screen.
