This is without applications running (accept the odd background process), this can't be right? Any ideas? Faulty battery that came with the phone? Would ordering a new separate battery from Amazon sort it out, or is it likely to be the phone?

For what its worth mine immediately goes down to 99% after removing the charger cable and then 98% upon connecting to wi-fi / collecting email / updating stuff (always have the phone in airplane mode over night).
That said I'm sending my handset back tomorrow because of an iffy camera.

In general too, even when it's been off charge for a couple of hours, the battery will be around 70%..
 
would recommend getting betterbatterystats off the market then - usually pretty good for telling you whats eating the battery when it shuldnt be. found somthing in location services was eating mine when it shouldnt have been - turning it off solved the prob but without betterbatterystats I'd never have known

I think he is referring to the fact that the camera on the S3 is showing the jeans in prefect quality to make it look like a window?
 
Just got the phone, its on charge. I've set most stuff up, I'm looking for a widget like power controls that lets you switch wifi / bluetooth / gps on/off. Seems TW doesn't have a built in one or am I missing it ?

Yes, as per description on the linked flickr page, pic on the phone screen is taken using the phone then displayed onscreen, I then took the photo of the setup as shown. There's a bit of the tag showing on the top of the image where I moved the jeans so the front bits line up but I'm gonna let that slide :p

But yeah, the main point was to show the detail the S3 camera picks up and the quality of the screen to be able to relay that information back!

Tried to order one earlier with mobiles.co.uk - something is wrong with the order as they sent me an email asking me to contact them. After 25 minutes on hold I gave up and used the contact form on the site instead. Was really looking forward to having a new toy to play with tomorrow, guess I'll be spending it waiting for a call. :(
 
Sorry if this has already been asked...

Updated to the new firmware and I have lost root access. Is it this normal and do I need to re-root?
