WTF? I ordered te exact same deal on Saturday and got an email Sunday saying the phone is out of stock and I should have it within 7 days. Now my order status just says "ordered" and no info on my credit check etc. Really pee'd off now, will ring them tomorrow to find out wtf is happening

Well I rang them this morning and the guy was really helpful. He didn't know what went wrong, but anyway he did the whole order over the phone and I now have my shipping email too. Tomorrow will be a fun day!

You've got an app that uses AirPush to spam you with adverts in the notification area. Go to the Play Store and download AirPush Detector to find out which app it is and uninstall it.

Yeah did it, battery is miles better now. About 50% better. Although I didn't like the changes they made to Swype, it's made it harder to text now. Everything else is a nice little improvement.

Guess I'll be looking for a decent Swype keyboard come tomorrow.

Think you've got it the wrong way around... the PC can use the phone's data connection, not the other way around.

Weird, I received a notification earlier to say I had a 22MB update. Went to apply it but after restarting, because it's rooted, it loaded up in CWM and said update failed or something. Now if I go and check for the update, it's says no update available.

It says my build is I9300XXALE8.

What's the general method for updating your handset when it's rooted btw? You won't lose any data right because I cba to set it all up again!

Use KIES or download the firmware from Here and flash with Odin. For OTA you need the stock recovery so it won't work with phones with CWM
