Correct once you've got CWM recovery on your phone you'll rarely if ever have to touch Odin

Name that app time people.

I know I have seen in this thread an app that can "scrape" facebook photos and add them to contacts, Ive had a search through and now cant see it!

Can anyone name it?

SyncMyPix? :) I tried it recently but ended up doing my contact pictures manually because it was hit and miss with high/low res.
 
So what happens when I root again and flash a rom and I receive notification for the official updated?
What's the process then

I've had my sg3 for a month or so now and am very pleased with it but I have one minor bug with it.

Basically at times when I leave my home wifi network I dont seem to get mobile data showing.

I notice it when I get to work and see that there is no internet available and no mobile data symbol in the display.

A restart brings the mobile data internet back.

I've had to do this 3 times since owning the phone , its nothing to do with internet availability in certain areas as restarting my phone re-activates the mobile internet.

Its a very odd bug , has anyone else experienced loss of there mobile data plan?

That depends. If you want to stay on the modded ROM then you just wait a few days for the dev to update it then you should just need to flash it as per before.

If you want to go onto "official" JB from Samsung then you need to reflash it back to stock before plugging it into KIES or, alternatively, you may find that someone will upload the FW which you can use ODIN to put on without reflashing to stock OR there may be a stock Nandroid image made available.

TBH, if you are happy with the modded ROM and all it's tweaked settings, I would just wait till the Dev updates it which won't take long. You shouldnt have to reset your phone either once flashed.



What ROM are you on? I am getting an itchy finger for Wanamlite TBH. I have it ready to go but just keep holding out for official JB for some reason :(





Edit: As for that Turkey Rom shown above.... Christ on a bike I feel queasy :o :(

Where are people currently buying the S3 from? Where is the best price currently for those who want to buy just the phone?

From looking they seem to be all around the £400, so I guess anywhere will be fine. :)
 
That looks like a good price, I am not buying just yet though, I need to turn my SIM into a Micro SIM, if I went to Orange and asked them would they do it straight away? Or is it something I have to request/order?
 
They should be able to give you a micro sim in store, if not just pop to a local phone shop most of them will have sim cutters I imagine.

I don't know to be honest, if you're near an Orange store I'd pop in and ask if they can swap them. Someone earlier mentioned it was on ASDA for £399 but that seems to have disappeared now. On Amazon for £415 currently though which doesn't seem too bad. If you're not buying until November or something it might be even cheaper :p
 
Got around to putting Nova Launcher back on. I bought Prime in the sales but never got around to putting it on. Tried it last night but didnt like the look. Retried it this morning and now I like it because I managed to find the option to remove the dock and desktop divider... Looked real naff before :D

TBH it is exactly the same as my TW setup but I will change that soon (I have added some gestures).

I don't like the way it goes to my widgets at the end of the apps but I switched that off. However, is there a way to loop the app drawer in the same way you can do with the desktop and the dock as I hate having to scroll all the way back when, on TW, I just scroll once more and it loops me to the start again.
